In one bloody night, three of Washington’s most powerful politicians are executed with surgical precision. Their assassins then deliver a shocking ultimatum to the American government: set aside partisan politics and restore power to the people. No one, they warn, is out of their reach—not even the president. A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals the killers are elite military commandos, but no one knows exactly who they are or when they will strike next.

This is a book about 10 "Great Ideas". Each chapter is an attempt to savor one idea that has been discovered by several of the world's civilizations - to question it in light of what we now know from scientific research, and to extract from it the lessons that still apply to our modern lives.

What disappointed you about The Happiness Hypothesis?

    The quite poor narration.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jonathan Haidt? Why or why not?

    Depends on narrator

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He sounded bored with the topic. So was I after listening to him.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I think information is good. I must return and labor through the narration to listen more.

    Any additional comments?

Please do notr ever use this narrator again unless he has good direction which he follows.

What did you love best about The Inner Circle?

Excellent start for a new series. I already look forward to reading the next book. I bought this book because I want to read and listen to the Fifth Assassin and this book is the one in the series before that book. I hoped it would be good. It hooked me. I am a fan forever now. Tight plotting and page turning all the way through. Your bonus comes in the form of intriguing bits of info tucked into the story. For example, you will learn where the phrase "reading between the lines" comes from.

Well worth the credit and every minute spent with the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    They were all great.
