Two Words. One Name. Wayne June. This guy could read the phone book and make it scary.
The Climax of The Dunwhich Horror really stands out, the whole story builds and builds and the dread grows and grows. It's amazing.
Everything. Just re-read the top, that's it.
Not originally, but once Mr. June's voice started in I just could not turn it off.
For any fans of H.P. Lovecraft this entire series is a must have.
Absolutely. Patton Oswalt is one of the Best working stand-ups out there right now.
A History of America from 1988 to 1996 As Recounted by the Three Types of Comedians I Opened for While Working Clubs on the Road. It's Simple amazing
Packed with Laugh Out Loud chapters and the memoir-stlye chapters are very enjoyable for those (like me) who like to get a look into the head of a comedian.
I hate to repeat myself but Patton Oswalt is one of the Best Working Stand-Ups out there right now. This is A MUST HAVE for any comedy nerd. I would also recommend picking up the Paperback print copy as there is some additional material.
This one ranks at the top. Well written and a superb performance.
Where to begin? was it the Meat Monster? the Roach Man? or the scene where it turns into a video game? Answer..D) All of the above.
The openning scene and the ending. The story moves at a good pace, but the openning really sets up what's to come incredibly and the ending is great.
Full of honest chuckles and some great laugh out moments are delivered along with some truly scary scenes rich with terror, dread, and creepiness.
John Dies at the End is the kind of book that there should be more of. It is a perfect blend of HP Lovecraft creepiness and madness with the witty and absurdity of Douglas Adams.
