Yes, I definitely recommend this book.
There is just no one memorable moment or scene in these books . The entire series kept me riveted . Was sorry to end the last book. Continually looking for another book from this author.
Each time I try another book for Hiaasen I am disappointed. The first book I listened to was very funny and I kept expecting more of the same humor. This one is totally boring and I can not remember any of it. As it was playing in my ear, my mind wandered to other things. That's how I knew this book was not for me.
I don't think I will ever get sucked into another Hiaasen book.
Oh, is that who read the book? Obviously his performance did not impress.
Anger, sadness and disappointment were all of my reactions. Anger that I had once again I tried to listen to a Hiaasen book, sadness that I used a credit, and disappointment because it was a waste of my time and money.
I can't compare the audio of Her Last Breath with the print version because I do not have the print version. The audio as narrated by Kathleen McInerney could not be any better if I had read it myself. She portrays Kate Burkholder exactly as I imagined her.
It's hard to pick the best part of this story because the entire book was spellbinding. It was the most overall best in every category.
Well, of course, I have to say Kate Burkholder was and is my favorite character. She is totally amazing and believable. I also like Thomasetti for Kate. They go together like vinegar and oil but once shaken up they blend beautifully.
I wanted to listen to this book in one sitting but made myself stop and wait. I just did not want it to end. It was so incredibly suspenseful near the end that the hair on my neck literally stood on end.
Just hope this prolific writer keeps them coming. Can't get enough of the Burkholder books.
It was fantastic.
I liked everything about this book. It grabbed me from the very first line and I found myself picking it up and listening at every opportunity.
The different narrators bring the book to life and it was so authentic sounding.
I really can't think of a better name for it.
I am sorry that I resisted reading it for such a long time. I thought it would totally bring me down but it didn't. So much actual history in there and even though the book was written as fiction it was undeniably true,.
I doubt it seriously.
I don't know. He may have done his best with the material he had to work with.
I can't think of a single one. The book was in 5 parts and that is a plus if the book is interesting but it's a definite negative it's one of the most boring listens ever. Sorry to say that I could not finish the first part.
Maybe I did not give it a fair chance but I was bored out of my mind and decided not to waste any more of my time.
Not worth using a credit for or time listening to. I could not finish listening because it was so boring and trite.
