"Disappointed"
So looking forward to this book...so disappointed. It just rambled on and on and on and on...could have been good if cut in half. Reader was terrible...too full of himself. Too much inflection...needs to let the reader have his own opinions.
"Didn't add up at the end"
I really enjoyed this book. The 'criminal mind' was very well developed, however, it did not seem very plausible. And at the end, the 'criminal' just fell apart...it did not add up.
"It touched me."
I was a little overwhelmed as the book began, however, as the book unfolded, I found it deeply touching, and beautifully written. It was very powerful. And - of course - Frank Muller is a master storyteller.
"Good Story, Narrator was excellent - lots of fun"
This was a good story with some interesting twists. The narrator managed all of the characters beautifully. It was a bit predictable, but a really fun book.
"Just couldn't get into the story"
I thought I would give it a try, but I just couldn't get into the story of Druids...and I did not finish the story. I enjoyed Luke Daniels' reading.
"Choppy, and disappointing"
I expected much more. The characters are well designed, and it is nice to follow them through the series. However, the story got bogged down with - I'm not sure what. But at times I was just waiting for it to get going. Then the ending was extremely disappointing. It was just 'there'. Oh well, I will try again, I usually enjoy her work.
"Hate to be negative"
I really hate to write anything so negative...but I just cannot stand listening to Scott Brick. His sing/song patronizing voice is like fingernails on a blackboard. He has a nice voice, but the inflections are just antagonizing...I simply cannot listen to him. I plan to return all of the books I have purchased that he narrates...thank goodness for this new return policy. I felt like it was such a waste of money. Sorry for the strong negative review...
"Boring"
Preachy, boring and stupid, insulted my intelligence
Preachy, boring and stupid. It insulted my intelligence.
"delightful"
A delightful, refreshing book. Beautifully performed. Will definitely look for additional books by Molly Harper, and performances by Amanda Ronconi
