"A great listen!"
I am an avid fan of Linda Lael Miller's books and this listen was no exception. Great character and plot development all in an engaging story with just the right pace.
"An excellent listen."
I downloaded this book with some trepidation since the author was new to me. I'm glad I took the chance. I truly enjoyed the listen and headed straight back to Audible to look for additons to the series. If you enjoy historic western romance this is a 'must have'. I can't wait for the next in the series and have queued Keli Ann Morgan as an author I'm going follow.
"Loved it!"
A great listen! I am a Mary Balogh fan and this book is everything I expect from this author and more. The characters have depth as does the story - so much so I listened to it twice in close succession and enjoyed my second listen every bit as much as the first.
"A great listen!"
I truly enjoyed this book and was reluctant to put it down, or hit the pause button. I have listened to a number of other books by Johanna Lindsey and although I found this one a little different with a somewhat slower pace I would definitely recommend it, especially if you are a Johanna Linsey fan.
"Enjoyable!"
I enjoyed this book both on its own and as a welcome addition to the series. The story is a bit light and predictable in places but this doesn't detract from its overall enjoyment. The heroine has a strong, take charge personality which I appreciate in historical romance and the plot had enough twists, turns and historical interest to keep me engaged to the end.
"Just Okay!"
Definitely not Susan Mallery's best. The plot is predictable and Skye's character too shallow to be believable. This, in conjunction with the less than mediocre narration, made the book a struggle to get through. I continued because I'd enjoyed the first in the series and have great hopes for the 3rd.
"Excellent Listen!"
Enjoyable but better listened to in series order. I've enoyed other books in the Kowalski series hence downloaded and listened to this one when it popped up in new releases. Unfortunately I spent a lot of time at the beginning trying to understand the connection to the earlier books until I realized I had skipped book 3.
"An enjoyable listen."
I enjoyed this book but don't think it is one of Diana Palmer's best efforts. The characters were likeable and the story engaging but the plot was rather light and somewhat predictable.
"Not great!"
Story was predictable and tedious. I managed to listen through to the end but it took endurance. I have enjoyed many other books by Julia London but this one is not on par with her other work.
"Not worth the time."
Predictable plot with poorly developed characters and linear story progrssion that is less than believable at best. I listened to the end and then wondered why I bothered.
