I really enjoy this series, so it is with much regret that I must say I will not be buying any further Felix Castor books unless Micheal Kramer returns as the narrator. I was very disapointed with the change in narrators; Kramer's voice, accent, inflection, etc made Castor a completely different character from the one portrayed by Damian Lynch's voice. I'm always amazed when producers of audio books think changing narrators part way through a series will not cost them fans.
I am a fan of this series, but I have to admit that a large part of the appeal for me comes from the manner in which Michael Kramer portrays Felix Castor. Dead Man's Boots is another great example of the dry humoured, synical Castor solving mysteries that seem insurmountable, while risking life and limb along the way.
I am hugely disapointed that the author/publisher has chosen to change narrators in the next book in this series.
I like Reacher, I like his character, and the whole modern-day Knight thing; however, this book certainly had Reacher sounding a little tired.
Talking through a broken nose for whole book, endless detail, and very simple problems turned into brain cramping issues, all left me feeling like going cold-turkey from my Reacher addiction.
