Yes, would recommend for sure. The narrator is very talented, and really draws you in. The story is very adult. No kid themes here, which I think people may not expect from JK Rowling.
The character development was superb.
His accents were amazing. He switched between all the various British accents, male & female with ease. He really drew me into the story.
Sukvindah's issue was very troubling, as well as the end for Krystle.
It's not action packed like Hogwarts, but this is definitely for an adult reader who enjoys character development and an unfolding story. Well done JK!
The characters, especially the Japanese characters really draw you in.
The Japanese story line, past, present and future??
Now was my favorite.
The ending just didn't do it for me. It got super confusing and I wasn't even sure what happened to the characters that I loved so much through 3/4's of the book.
I liked the creativity of the storyline. Very unique.
I liked this book, but didn't love it. I thought the ending wasn't satisfying. The build up to the end is very dramatic, but I thought the ending fell a little flat.
It's in my top 5 for audiobooks.
Louise Brooks and Cora were fantastically opposite. Louise as a teenager was someone you love to hate. I just wanted to smack her!
Elizabeth McGovern was a great narrator, she made Louise so hateful, and Cora so loveable.
I got a little choked up in the end, but this book was not all gentile, lots of drama!
This book flowed at a really nice pace, and the characters and story lines were extremely interesting and thought provoking.
