This was a great book, but beware it's a tear jerkier.
It doesn't take very long to figure out the narrator's voice does not enhance the story. The pitch of her voice, at best, hurt my ears and it was almost impossible to get through the book. That being said, who chooses the narrator matching the voice with the characters in the story. The voice did not match Blair nor Blair's mother who was a past beauty queen. It's well known that a narrator can make or break the book unfortunately this is a prime example.
I rarely purchase abridged audio books as they usually seem choppy and I feel like I've missed something important. Something Blue clearly is the exception I actually enjoyed this abridged version more than the unabridged Something Borrowed.
With many great new books each year one always stands out and for me it was this story enhanced by the narrators, whom I believe took it to the next level. Its a must listen too.
