Would you listen to When You Dare again? Why?

Story started a bit slowly, then the storyline built. Initially, I almost stopped listening as it was a bit cheesy. :)
I became involved in the characters and really looked forward to listening to each chapter.

What did you like best about this story?

Great character details and romance.

Did Jim Frangione do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Truthfully, not a fan of the narration. I didn't feel he was involved in the story at all at times.
Should have been read by a woman.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

At times, I laughed out loud at "extreme masculinity."

I loved the characters, the setting and the narration was suberb!

Can I pick two? Jaime and Claire!

Jamie. Loved Davina Porter's narration. She has such a subtle range of voice for each character. So entrancing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, found myself wasting time in the car or while doing chores to keep listening.

Any additional comments?

The historical aspects of this book were very realistic. Loved the medical and herb knowledge displayed by Claire.

Yes, if the friend is interested in historical romance novels.

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed the character of Ian. I would like to know what the disability the author was referring to.
The romance between Ian and Beth was so charming.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved Angela Dawe's reading of this novel. Not sure if I would have enjoyed the book nearly as much without her narration.

I found this brother the least compelling of the MacKenzie brothers. Would have enjoyed more of a romance storyline.

This book had the potential to be excellent. Interesting story premise, but in the end unfulfiling.
I never understood why Megan and her 'mate' were together. Totally random. Hard to become emotionally involved with characters like that.

Has Megan's Mark turned you off from other books in this genre?

No.

Would you be willing to try another one of Brianna Bronte’s performances?

Unsure.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Very steamy scenes, but a bit too much. Because I was not involved with the characters, very unenjoyable.

Horrible voice narration.

Her voice made me feel very little sympathy for the characters.
