Having listened to this audio now over 5 times I can say that I find it fantastic! Tavia Gilbert does a wonderful job with Cat - AND (despite other reviewers, though I value their opinion) Bones. Even while reading the books I never heard Bones with anything but a cockney/guttersnipe accent. When the character was raised in a late 1700 brothel, a whore and a pickpocket - he should never sound like his best friend Spade (Baron Charles DeMortimer). Waiting impatiently for the next books in the series on audio (have all the currently released ones)
I'm listening to it for the 3rd time.
Consistency in Character's voices. She is constantly changing voices of Characters. Roman goes from a strange accent to a screeching old hag.
I love the series - Micah/Maverick has always been one of my favorites - after Wild Card/Noah. That his heroine is strong yet so gentle is a wonderful foil for him
Where are the rest of the series???
Just as the book did - this audio made me crack up at times. I think I've listened to the last chapter and epilogue about a half dozen times.
Robert Petkoff did a wonderful job with Lothaire - loved the accent and emotion he put into it. He also did well with portraying a character that is losing his grip on his mind. Having read the book prior to getting the audio I was well pleased with this audio.
I've read the print version of this many times but Tavia's reading makes a powerful book even better. You hear the pain, anquish, heartbreak and the love Cat and Bones have for each other.
