Eleven years ago, the Co-Ed Slayer murdered nine female college students on the Oregon State University campus. Lacey Campbell barely survived his attack, but he killed her best friend, Suzanne, whose body was never found. Now a forensic odontologist analyzing teeth and bones for the state medical examiner, Lacey is devastated when she identifies Suzanne’s remains at a crime scene. She finds comfort in the arms of ex-cop Jack Harper, and sparks fly between them.

Where does Hidden rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Hidden is about in the middle of the pack. I have listened to far worse and far better. Nice story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Jack Harper, just like him.

What three words best describe Kate Rudd’s voice?

Not varied enough. My biggest issue with her narration is that she mispronounces Willamette! Living in Oregon, not Orygone, I am getting tired of the mispronouciations. Especially when this isn't live and someone should have caught the mistake and had her rerecord it! It's Will am it, not Willa met.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My extreme reaction is totally about changing place names and landmarks. I've read and listened to many books and the authors don't change the names. It's just irritating, maybe they have to, or maybe the author was too lazy to research.

    Any additional comments?

Despite my irritations I would say it is a good listen, if you get on your plan. I wouldn't pay extra for it. Maybe check it out at the library.
