  • Inside the Kingdom: My Life In Saudi Arabia

    Story

On September 11, 2001, Carmen bin Ladin heard the news that the Twin Towers had been struck. She instinctively knew that her brother-in-law was involved in these horrifying acts of terrorism, and her heart went out to America. She also knew that her life and the lives of her daughters would never be the same again.

Richard says: "An inside view of the Saudi women's life"
"An inside view of the Saudi women's life"
    Overall

Carmen provides a personal and informative account of her life. This book is about a Saudi mother and her children, her love of a Bin Laden, and life behind the veil of Saudi women.
If you want to understand "why they hate us", this will help. Osama is not the focus of this book. The sewing of the seeds of hate for America and the Saudi internal pressures and mind-set are well presented.

In his New York Times best-selling chronicle of military life, Anthony Swofford weaves his experiences in war with vivid accounts of boot camp, reflections on the mythos of the marines, and remembrances of battles with lovers and family.

A User says: "Candid view of a marine and modern war"
    "Too much unnecessary profanity"
    Overall

Story is interesting and probably quite accurate, based on my years in the Marine Corps. The focus on sex and profanity is carried to the extreme of detracting from the Marine's experiences told in the book.

"Plenty of what not to do and think."

A comprehensive book on what not to do throughout the history of the world.

Clients apparently love none of the things you have previouslt been told they love.
