"The story is very predictable; narrator excellent"
The narrator saved this book. The story was so predictable and did not have any unique twists or characters.
"This is a great novel!"
This is a suspenseful novel and one you shouldn't miss. If you're not familiar with military jargon, don't let it stop you from reading on. You'll understand before you know it. It has lots of twists and turns in this story.
"A light, entertaining Mystery"
This is the first book I've read by this author. It was a entertaining but yet a solid mystery. Listen closely......Some of the heroines narrative was especially humorous as her antics solve the mystery. Its worth the buy!
"Anne Perry does it again"
A great novel. Her development of characters and descriptions of scenes are vivid. You feel you can actually imagine the different places in London and the countryside. The plot twists and turns so you can never predict "who dun it"! Give these novels a chance and you'll be hooked!
Yes, her narration is superb.
"Don't listen to one of the newest Reader's critics"
Its excellent. In fact, I've just listened to it again. The character development is wonderful and learning so much more about Italy is great too.
I kept wondering, how was Joel Baakman, going to get out of this situation. The ending was quite a surprise.
Micheal Beck was absolutely wonderful. He brought the story to life. How did he learn to speak Italian that well?
Suspensful, full of twists.
Don't listen to the readers critic on this one. a few minutes into this book will win you over. One of Grishams best!
"Hilarious! One of the best Stephanie Plum Novels"
The narration from Lorelei King, as always, is superb. The story plot is more complex than past novels. And could it be that Stephanie and Morrelli would finally get together? This is an entertaining and fun book to listen to.
"What a surprise-great book!"
Mr Pearson is a new author to me but I'm pleasantly surprized. This is a good "listen" and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys suspense with a great plot but without "bloody gore". Christopher Lane is an excellent narrator too.
"Wonderful for History Lovers"
Good story; if you liked the film, you'll enjoy the added bio about Mr Logue and the King.
"Couldn't stop listening to Joe Pike and Elvis Cole"
Wow, what a great novel. The twists and turns keep you guessing. One of the best written by Robert Crais.
"This listens like a law course"
The Narrator was good considering the bland story
Yes, if they enjoy detailed courtroom dramas.
The main character
no
This is a good attempt for the authors first book.
