Great romance story
The entire story is great, but particularly the part when the couple run into various problems and they are solved succesfully.
I cried at the end when she leaves him. Luckily I have read the following two volumes on my Kindle and know that it is not the end for them.
I would certainly relisten this story. It is a testament to the mixture of the arts. I actually found and played the pieces mentioned in the story on youtube as a background to the story's unfolding. I finished off with a rendering of Beethoven's 9th Symphony from the reuniting of the two German states with renowned composer/conductor Leonard Bernstein in the lead. Magnificent!!! I almost felt like Bridget at the premiere of the piece.
The moment she 'got' the spirit of the Sonata. The entire scene is romantic, erotic and beautiful.
I have listened to another recording from Alison Larkin. I like her clear voice and British accent.
The moment at the end where everything comes together and life changes completely for Bridget.
A wonderful story. I love the interwoven music and romance story. As inspiration to listen to great music this is brilliant.
I like the story, but cannot get past the narrator's horrible mannerisms in her performance.
I hate the constant phrasing she utilizes, it destroys the story to my ears. Within barely 5 minutes I hated the performance so much I was tempted to stop the book and just forget it. I hung on but with a constant iriitation overlaying the listen.
I like Trevor a lot. I think he is a nice guy with dominant tendencies.
With another narrator who doesn't have those annoying mannerisms.
I would definitely listen to this book again, and I may do just that when the third installment comes out. I enjoyed the story of Kate and Adam very much. They are people with problems, but they manage to find a way through these problems.
When they were reunited after the short break-up. It was a very touching scene. I love Kate for making it through that horrible childhood with her heart still intact.
I like Jennifer Stark's voice for these books. She has a young, expressive voice which fits the main characters who are telling the story.
The improbable, but lovely story of Katelyn and Adam come to life.
This is book two in a trilogy and I had already heard book one, so the abrupt jump into the story did not disturb me. I think it is important to stress that listeners should buy book 1 and hear this before venturing into book two.
It is a good story about two unlikely people falling in love despite one of them having commitment hang-ups.
I can definiely recommend it-
The best moment is the reconciliation at the bedside of Megan's father.
Jennifer Stark brings the main character to life and makes it a story that goes straight to the heart. Her voice fits Megan very well.
I cried when Megan left Preston and until they were reunited.
Loved it. My first audiobook experience. But Nora Roberts is a known entity so I took the chance. Another super story from her hand. Cannot wait to get the remaining two volumes in the series.
