Another narrator may have kept the story going for me -this one had a 'sad and sorry' tone most of the time -no man other than a shrink would be interested in a young woman who carried that dispostion around most of the time - so I don't think it was appropriate for the story!
Feed up of the usual themes and looking for a new twist in the romance genre then this may be for you.
I was enthralled by the whole new world the author created, its customs and culture ... the characters also sucked you in ... you felt T'Ash frustration and Danith's initial fear to become involved. Bits of humour were sliced in nicely among the lines and the narration was great.
Well worth a credit... looking forward to more stories within this new world!
I enjoyed the male narrator immensely but the voice of the female drove me crazy!
She was probably a good reflection of the female in the story; but if the female lead was really so pitiful one wonders how the guy fell in love with her in the first place.!
If you would prefer a stronger female in a story then read the book and avoid the voice of the female narrator !
Unfortunately overall the book was less than I expected !
This book just clicked for me from start to finish and was totally great!
Plot -was good and kept your interest, narrator was good as well- all the pieces fit
together perfectly for a really great listen!
Finished it in one go and am now doing my second listen at a more leisurely pace!
Where is the plot??
After reading "mystery man" which was a great listen
I decided to give 'wild man' a chance.
Was I disappointed!
While the former had suspense and a story line
I could not find a compelling plot in wild man
just a lot of family drama separated by 'f' words.
sorry will have to look trice before I try another listen from this author
If you are a fan of 'the big bang theory'
you should love the Rosie Project.
I had lots of laughs from start to finish.
The narrator was excellent and added to the humor.
I read the book two weeks prior to listening to the Audio,
and yes the audio was even better!
I laughed, tears came to my ears ... a great narration!
The story had it all - humor, romance, a happy ending!
Don't expect to be able to put this down before the end!
I was a bit surprised when the end did arrive since I was so engrossed in the story.
Definitely easy listening at its best!
This was an easy enjoyable listen. The narrator was suitable.
Some may feel Elle was a cheater rather than someone who had to find the courage to 'say no' and change her life. If you have never been there - you may find it hard to understand how much courage that takes... but she did find it eventually.
All in all, it was a worthwhile listen - I would classify as a young adult romance.
This was an easy enjoyable read which I listened to in one go- only put it down to sleep!
Would recommend it!
Worth a credit!
Romance ? mystery? Having read or listened to several of the Sullivan Series by Bella Andre and enjoyed them, I decided to give this a try ... was I disappointed!
I was unable to finish the book and just skimped the last 10 chapters .. at the end I was not too sure if this was supposed to be romance or mystery ... it ended up being neither since the story was unable to keep my interest and it was only my perseverance that got me past the mid-mark of the story.
Unfortunately the narrator only helped to emphasize the poor storyline and the trite phrases.
