The End Series by New York Times best-selling author Tim LaHaye and Craig Parshall is an epic thrill ride ripped from today's headlines and filtered through Scriptural prophecy. As world events begin setting the stage for the 'end of days' foretold in Revelation, Joshua Jordan must weigh the personal price he must pay to save the nation he loves.

  • It Worked for Me: In Life and Leadership

It Worked for Me is filled with vivid experiences and lessons learned that have shaped the legendary career of the four-star general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. At its heart are Powell's "Thirteen Rules" - such as "Get mad, then get over it" and "Share credit" - that introduce his principles for effective leadership: conviction, hard work, and, above all, respect for others. A natural storyteller, Powell offers warm and engaging parables with wise advice on succeeding in the workplace and beyond.

Where does It Worked for Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks among some of the better books I have read.

What did you like best about this story?

The personal stories made me respect this man more than any other Republican I know.

    Which scene was your favorite?

His overall military experiences that he talks about are interesting, and his regrets about not following his gut feelings and usual processes to check facts with regards to Iraq. I found that I really respect his character after reading this book.

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book and I really was not expecting to.

  • The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness

In the era of colorblindness, it is no longer socially permissible to use race, explicitly, as a justification for discrimination, exclusion, and social contempt. Yet, as legal star Michelle Alexander reveals, today it is perfectly legal to discriminate against convicted criminals in nearly all the ways that it was once legal to discriminate against African Americans.

Jeremy says: "An essential read. A horrifying reality."
"Great Book a must read for every American!"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was shocked and amazed at the content and how truly ignorant I was on the subject matter. I liked the fact that Ms. Alexander not only gave the historical context, facts and examples but also what we can to do to change it. This was a great book!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The New Jim Crow?

To know that the whole government is involved in the plot to incarcerate, control, and obliterate the rights of its citizens.
