  • This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It

Warning: You may have a huge, invisible spider living in your skull. This is not a metaphor. You will dismiss this as ridiculous fearmongering. Dismissing things as ridiculous fearmongering is, in fact, the first symptom of parasitic spider infection - the creature secretes a chemical into the brain to stimulate skepticism, in order to prevent you from seeking a cure. That’s just as well, since the “cure” involves learning what a chain saw tastes like. You can’t feel the spider, because it controls your nerve endings.

What did you love best about This Book Is Full of Spiders?

At no point in this book did I think David was making it out alive. I'm still not sure he did.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lance falconer. Because he's a f**king badass. Just look at the name

What does Nick Podehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

John's image as a f**k up stoner became that much clearer with the added inflection

When we last left the mighty wizard detective Harry Dresden, he wasn't doing well. In fact, he had been murdered by an unknown assassin. But being dead doesn't stop him when his friends are in danger. Except now he has nobody, and no magic to help him. And there are also several dark spirits roaming the Chicago shadows who owe Harry some payback of their own. To save his friends - and his own soul - Harry will have to pull off the ultimate trick without any magic....

Would you try another book from Jim Butcher and/or John Glover?

    Sure,

Would you recommend Ghost Story: The Dresden Files, Book 13 to your friends? Why or why not?

Nope. The change from Marsters to Glover made getting into the book difficult, and after finally becoming used to him I still felt I liked Marsters better.
The book wasn't terrible on it's own, but it's kinda annoying how he just literally dues exes all over the ending of his last book.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Glover's better at supporting characters than Marsters.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Probably

    Any additional comments?

    Meh
