Infantile plot and story line. Writing is 3rd grade. Much too much redundant wording.
Totally stupid plot elements. Like when first kidnapper/hostage encounter is made, it is set up so the rescuers could have easily sniped the kidnappers and not go through all the other steps.
Never again. His voice "imitations" of females, tough guys etc are so bad they seem like they are a spoof. They are a distraction to the story which is bad enuough to start.
Cover picture was nice.
Bodman and Sands are a good combo. Both are terrible.
No idea -- not even close to a worthwhile investment of time.
I have heard about this book for years and as a lark figured what the heck - all that vibe -- it must have been pretty good. No way. Just a continuous feed of meaningless dribble which was supposed to have been a mind opening exploration of self and country. It was more like a stream of unconsciousness.
Wont ever buy a Meltzer book again.
A Follett book
Book started agonizingly slow, had a stronger second half but ended with a complete thud. Absolutely worthless, unexplained ending - worthless.
Author needs story telling lessons -- especially how to end one.
Dont waste your time or money.
