I enjoyed it and listened to it in 2 days.

the overall tone of the book. She is so adorable and likeable and relatable. I think that is her strength. I'd like to see her focus more on that and she is really good at doing audiobooks. doesn't sound like she is reading from a script

but you can't half them. I was completely engrossed in this book. It felt metamorphic for me UNTIL the last 30 minutes, then it got all complicated by the same BS I thought she was trying to overcome and escape. Disappointed in the ending, BUT the rest was soooooo good that it made it worth purchase.

but I did anyway. Even read the follow up book. I'm actually looking forward to a third; just don't take it too seriously.

This was a fun audiobook with snappy dialogue that kept me interested until the end. The finale was a little anticlimactic, but the interactions amongst the characters kept me interested. I already bought the second. Nice, light listening.

I read this book last year, and I enjoyed the book so much that I bought the audio book to listen to as I run (I enjoy comedy when running).

Why didn't Chelsea Handler narrate this? She narrated her last book, and it was GREAT GREAT GREAT. The narrator was reading a story to me, and it felt like that. Like I was just being read to; Chelsea was so good in her last audio book I felt like she was telling me a story.

The book is the same, but I think I would have enjoyed this more with Chelsea Handler. Even the sarcasm and some of the jokes didn't come through.

This is the first time I have ever reviewed a book, but I just HAD to put my opinion out there. This is BY FAR thee best audio book I have ever listened to. The narrators are TELLING me a story (not reading one to me). They were fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. I laughed out loud numerous times, and I was brought to tears numerous times.

It was so very well written that when it was over I was sad. I wanted more. I needed to know what happened to Skeeter, Minnie, Celia (who I loved), and Abeline (s/p). I loved these women, and I was sad that it was over. I enjoyed having them in my life, and the content of the story is moving and touching. It made me want a better America and a better world. All of that in a work of fiction? You betcha.

I was not sure about listening to this in the unabridged format, but I absolutely loved it. Once I was in I had to keep listening to find out. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to discover the classics, and I have just loved this and Sense & Sensibility and Pride & Prejudice. I plan on listening to all the Bronte sisters. Wuthering Heights is next.
