Less tedious detail. I gave it two stars because I managed to finish it, but I was tired of it within the first half hour. I agree that the narrator was better than the story.
I'm currently listening to Conspirata, by Robert Harris.
Measured. Too slow.
Some of the descriptions, perhaps, but in general just way overdone and bloated.
Outlander series fans, don't be misled. It is insulting to compare this author to Diana Gabaldon.
Audible offers several versions of The Three Musketeers. I'm now in the middle of part three of the one narrated by John Lee, which somehow did not appear on the list I got by search for Dumas under authors. I recommend the John Lee version highly, though I haven't listened to the others. Don't know if the translation is the same for all the narrators, but I was happy to find that the version I downloaded to my Kindle is the same as the one narrated by Mr. Lee. Listen to samples before you choose.
