On holiday in Cornwall, the three children discover an ancient map in the attic of the house that they are staying in. They know immediately that it is special. It is even more than that: it is the key to finding a grail, a source of power to fight the forces of evil known as the Dark. And in searching for it themselves, the Drews put their lives in peril.

If you could sum up Over Sea, Under Stone in three words, what would they be?

    Entertaining, classic, and youthful

What did you like best about this story?

It may be written for younger readers, but it is a very good start to a great series. It does not alienate older readers.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When the children gathered on the hill in the night, and the threats and mystery they faced really came to light.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

All quest in the history of good and evil.

    Any additional comments?

The other books on this series start to appeal more to older readers, but that does not mean that this book should be dismissed.
