Blaze is the story of Clayton Blaisdell, Jr., of the crimes committed against him and the crimes he commits, including his last, the kidnapping of a baby heir worth millions. Blaze has been a slow thinker since childhood, when his father threw him down the stairs and then threw him down again. After escaping an abusive institution for boys when he was a teenager, Blaze hooks up with George, a seasoned criminal who thinks he has all the answers.

    "Bitter sweet listening"
    Overall

Before I go into it further, I loved this book. The narrator brought the characters to life, the story was amazing, and the quality excellent. The experience was bitterweet though.... The story is one heartbreak after another. The story was well written, keeping suspence up throughout, whil still managing tohave flashbacks and story detail without ruining the story.

Imagine answering your cell phone one day to a male voice that gives you three minutes to confess your sin. If you don't, the madman, Slater, will blow your car to smithereens. You barely manage to exit heavy traffic and ditch the car when, precisely three minutes later, your car blows sky high. The media and police descend on the scene; your world has just changed forever.

    "second guessing"
    Overall

This was a great book. Ted Dekker has the gift of misdirection, keeping you wondering who the madman is. Every time you think you know, something makes you totally reanalyze what you thought. The audio quality was good, but a lower format (3 or 4) is ideal (enhanced was a bit TOO clear). All in all, a great story, good narrator, and an enjoyable listen.

Meet Peter Brown, a young Manhattan emergency room doctor with an unusual past that is just about to catch up with him. His morning begins with the quick disarming of a would-be mugger, followed by a steamy elevator encounter with a sexy young pharmaceutical rep, topped off by a visit with a new patient - and from there Peter's day is going to get a whole lot worse and a whole lot weirder.

    "Amazing"
    Overall

Everything about this book was amazing. The author is truly a great story teller. The narration was perfect, and the quality of the recording, right down to scene enhancing music and effects, was brilliant. By far, this is the best audio book I have listened to.

    I highly recommend this!

    "Laughter & Tears"
    Overall

This was hillarious! Me and a co-worker listened on the commute in to work, and we were laughing so hard that we both had tears rolling down our faces. I thought we would need to pull over. The audio was really good for a comedy show, and Dane Cook is comedic genius!
