"i enjoyed"
it is a toss up. somethings were noticed while listening that i did not notice while reading and vice versa. they were both very good
the whole story was a little different from many of the other paranormal reads/listens. It kept my interest by moving.
the voice did not sound flat as if she was just reading out loud.
no particular moment that i remember, but it has been a while since i listened to the book.
as this book was the last in what you would call a series, i was disappointed that the brothers and sister from prior books were not more evident in the retake of the castle, what their actions were. But like i said the book was well done and as a stand alone book, you would not think that much about the other siblings. In the end, the author did let you know what the other siblings ended up doing with their lives after the castle was retaken which was good. If you like paranormal and are getting a little jaded on the normal were animals, vampires, shape shifters, etc., this will be a refreshing change with suspense filled moments but a sweetness portrayed in the characters too. Try it, i liked it.
"interesting"
different and interesting
this is the best of the 3 in this series. It is not like many of the other books, so it would not be fair to compare. I would say to anyone if you like Irish and the legends, you will enjoy this series.
no, i could walk away from it and pick it up again. the book is interesting but not riveting. It pulls your emotions. there are actually 2 stories within the books. the background story does not end with his book and it leaves you wanting to know how it also ends.
I have read this series. I rate this book the best because i was the least frustrated the characters. There are people with certain character traits that annoy you in real life and i find they annoy me in books also. Darcy the sister highly annoyed me.
"I like"
It was different from many of the books I have.
There are quite a few moments in the book that come to mind. The love story running through the book was good, even if I had moments of wanting to shake a few characters but they are guys and I am female, so what can I say. The Fae prince is an interesting character along with the gremlin. There is suspense, love, cute moments, humor in the book. It is much more than a love story.
how to pronounce some words. To be fair I listened to the book last month. Nothing negative sticks in my mind, so performance must have been ok.
Unknown Valor.
I plan on getting the whole series. It has caught my interest. Now I need to know what happens next.
"addictive"
it caught my attention, it had me holding my breath on what would happen next. The love story was good.
Unsure what I liked best. It is a good story and if you like this type of book, I would recommend getting it. The author has done a very good job with the book.
unsure if I have listen to Antony before or not, but this was good
yes. I found myself doing other things just so I could finish the book. I also caught myself so wrapped in the story I was doing nothing at times
cannot wait to get the next book.
"Wonderful"
A great listen
the whole book was memorable. I really enjoyed it
Angus and Lachlan were favorites. Lachlan, i would like to watch his character on the screen. Both of them, you will not forget.
Not laugh or cry but interesting that i did not want to quit listening.
i like books that if set in Scotland, the narrator uses the appropriate accent as was done in this book. Really makes you feel you are there.
"as always a great listen"
oh yes. it is very well done, story and performance.
there were many moments, their marriage, the night in the jungle and her rescue. there were many events in the book to keep you listening or reading. cannot set the story aside.
she uses a lot of expression in her voice thus bringing the story to life.
a story making you want more stories of the same.
if you enjoy something different, this i would encourage you to try. Set in a world that is different but not so that you cannot cannect with it. I love the dust bunnies.
"Interesting"
The audio is nice as someone else is pronouncing those names that you always wonder if you got it right. I like to listen to books while weeding or dusting, etc. Those mindless jobs goes by much quicker. Otherwise it just depends on my mood or activity.
Each book of Christine Warren's is unique. Not maybe as intense as Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books. It is paranormal but in a nice way. Hard to compare to other books or other authors.
she did as well as anyone could do. No matter how good the narrator is, it is hard for a woman to do a man's voice. I was not really impressed with some her characters and the voice she gave them.
I found parts funny. Sometimes i get fed up when a female continues to carry on and determined to have it her way without using her brain. She did come to her senses but to my way of thinking, it could have been sooner.
I enjoyed the book and if you like paranormal but like happy endings, you will enjoy the book. I recommend the book.
"wonderful story"
i have listened to the book several times. I really enjoyed the humor, the mystery and the tender moments.
i found the events before the wedding humorous. All the characters involved have been given their individual personalities and hopefully will be given their own stories.
i loved the accent of the narrator but sometimes her voice was a monotone. I would not let this discourage anyone from trying the book.
I read the book first then listened to the book. I could not put the book down as the story kept my attention.
"alright but not Jayne's best"
The narration was somewhat flat compared to the Ghost hunter series. The story was ok but I felt a little lost like the story had been rewritten to be shorter or it was an edited version and they cut out some important info. The story was fine but not really up to this authors normal.
