it is a toss up. somethings were noticed while listening that i did not notice while reading and vice versa. they were both very good
the whole story was a little different from many of the other paranormal reads/listens. It kept my interest by moving.
the voice did not sound flat as if she was just reading out loud.
no particular moment that i remember, but it has been a while since i listened to the book.
as this book was the last in what you would call a series, i was disappointed that the brothers and sister from prior books were not more evident in the retake of the castle, what their actions were. But like i said the book was well done and as a stand alone book, you would not think that much about the other siblings. In the end, the author did let you know what the other siblings ended up doing with their lives after the castle was retaken which was good. If you like paranormal and are getting a little jaded on the normal were animals, vampires, shape shifters, etc., this will be a refreshing change with suspense filled moments but a sweetness portrayed in the characters too. Try it, i liked it.
Not my favorite type of character. I listen for escape from the disagreeable people in the present world and entertainment. I did not finish the book due to the author's choice of personality given to the main female character, which was a spoiled brat taking her disappointment out on the male character. I tire of such persons and wish to slap them upside their head. The story line is a little different and interesting and i would have finished the book if the main female had not been so dedicated to being a brat.
i would try one more but no more if the character creation is the same.
I believe she did well for what little i listen to.
I am just tired of books that feature women in the role of creating misery for someone else. Either she is taking out her disappointment in not achieving her expectations or she is lying to another woman thus making her life miserable, in other words a "bitch". No insult to the female gender of the canine family is intended; nor do i wish to offend anyone by the term used.
yes i would recommend this book to anyone who loves a romance with something more. The book is just amazing.
one moment was when Ivy was able to see how the em-paths linked to others and of course the relationship between Vasic and Ivy running through the whole book.
She does an outstanding job by not intruding on the book. Meaning her performance is so flawless you are focused on the story not her presentation.
So many moments in the book that even now i am not totally disengaged from the story.
This is the last book in this series and i have read and listened to them all. Each book will stand on it own but they have more meaning if all have been read/listened. I just hope Ms .Singh continues with this world she has created. Her talent is outstanding.
On top with all the other wonderful books I have enjoyed. But no matter how wonderful the book or story if the performance is not good it takes away from the story. That was not an issue. The performance was outstanding and thus enhanced the listening experience.
Josef understanding he was loved and valued. Another wonderful moment was Skyler accepting her bio father,Razvan. There were many wonderful scenes in the book as it moves right along so it is hard to choose.
Skyler rescue of Dimitri with the help of Josef and Paul. Another was the gift from Ivory and Razvan to Skyler and Dimitri.
This book is a stand alone but it will be more rewarding if you read Dark Lycan first. This series of 3, I feel, should have been one big book. I am waiting with anticipation for the last book, Dark Blood, to be released later this year.
it was funny but the main female character was almost too much for me. She seems to be lacking common sense and i have a low tolerance for people with this problem
it ended as it should
I had not listen to Alison Larkin before. She was very good. If i was hesitating on a book due to the story but if she was the performer, i would probably buy it.
When the Nob takes a wife
the story is good, full of humor and some of how we relate to each other as human beings. Set in the past middle ages in the Scottish Highlands. It also has some mystery and suspense to it. A good read or listen. I read the book and also purchased it on audio as I liked it so well.
a little more life in her reading would have improved things considerably. interactions between characters was good but in between could have had more life to it.
I laughed a lot throughout the book.
different and interesting
this is the best of the 3 in this series. It is not like many of the other books, so it would not be fair to compare. I would say to anyone if you like Irish and the legends, you will enjoy this series.
no, i could walk away from it and pick it up again. the book is interesting but not riveting. It pulls your emotions. there are actually 2 stories within the books. the background story does not end with his book and it leaves you wanting to know how it also ends.
I have read this series. I rate this book the best because i was the least frustrated the characters. There are people with certain character traits that annoy you in real life and i find they annoy me in books also. Darcy the sister highly annoyed me.
It was different from many of the books I have.
There are quite a few moments in the book that come to mind. The love story running through the book was good, even if I had moments of wanting to shake a few characters but they are guys and I am female, so what can I say. The Fae prince is an interesting character along with the gremlin. There is suspense, love, cute moments, humor in the book. It is much more than a love story.
how to pronounce some words. To be fair I listened to the book last month. Nothing negative sticks in my mind, so performance must have been ok.
I plan on getting the whole series. It has caught my interest. Now I need to know what happens next.
it caught my attention, it had me holding my breath on what would happen next. The love story was good.
Unsure what I liked best. It is a good story and if you like this type of book, I would recommend getting it. The author has done a very good job with the book.
unsure if I have listen to Antony before or not, but this was good
yes. I found myself doing other things just so I could finish the book. I also caught myself so wrapped in the story I was doing nothing at times
cannot wait to get the next book.
A great listen
the whole book was memorable. I really enjoyed it
Angus and Lachlan were favorites. Lachlan, i would like to watch his character on the screen. Both of them, you will not forget.
Not laugh or cry but interesting that i did not want to quit listening.
i like books that if set in Scotland, the narrator uses the appropriate accent as was done in this book. Really makes you feel you are there.
oh yes. it is very well done, story and performance.
there were many moments, their marriage, the night in the jungle and her rescue. there were many events in the book to keep you listening or reading. cannot set the story aside.
she uses a lot of expression in her voice thus bringing the story to life.
a story making you want more stories of the same.
if you enjoy something different, this i would encourage you to try. Set in a world that is different but not so that you cannot cannect with it. I love the dust bunnies.
