Would you consider the audio edition of Lord of the Abyss to be better than the print version?

it is a toss up. somethings were noticed while listening that i did not notice while reading and vice versa. they were both very good

What did you like best about this story?

the whole story was a little different from many of the other paranormal reads/listens. It kept my interest by moving.

What does Isabelle Gordon bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

the voice did not sound flat as if she was just reading out loud.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

no particular moment that i remember, but it has been a while since i listened to the book.

    Any additional comments?

as this book was the last in what you would call a series, i was disappointed that the brothers and sister from prior books were not more evident in the retake of the castle, what their actions were. But like i said the book was well done and as a stand alone book, you would not think that much about the other siblings. In the end, the author did let you know what the other siblings ended up doing with their lives after the castle was retaken which was good. If you like paranormal and are getting a little jaded on the normal were animals, vampires, shape shifters, etc., this will be a refreshing change with suspense filled moments but a sweetness portrayed in the characters too. Try it, i liked it.

In Dark Lycan, Christine Feehan journeyed into the heart of the Carpathians, and into the souls of two lifemates stirred by the flush of passion and the threat of annihilation. In Dark Wolf, the breathtaking story continues as the bonds of family are imperiled, and the fate of two lovers lies hidden in the seductive shadows between life and death.

Where does Dark Wolf rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

On top with all the other wonderful books I have enjoyed. But no matter how wonderful the book or story if the performance is not good it takes away from the story. That was not an issue. The performance was outstanding and thus enhanced the listening experience.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dark Wolf?

Josef understanding he was loved and valued. Another wonderful moment was Skyler accepting her bio father,Razvan. There were many wonderful scenes in the book as it moves right along so it is hard to choose.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Skyler rescue of Dimitri with the help of Josef and Paul. Another was the gift from Ivory and Razvan to Skyler and Dimitri.

    Any additional comments?

This book is a stand alone but it will be more rewarding if you read Dark Lycan first. This series of 3, I feel, should have been one big book. I am waiting with anticipation for the last book, Dark Blood, to be released later this year.

What made the experience of listening to Noble Intentions the most enjoyable?

it was funny but the main female character was almost too much for me. She seems to be lacking common sense and i have a low tolerance for people with this problem

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    it ended as it should

Have you listened to any of Alison Larkin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not listen to Alison Larkin before. She was very good. If i was hesitating on a book due to the story but if she was the performer, i would probably buy it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When the Nob takes a wife

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

the story is good, full of humor and some of how we relate to each other as human beings. Set in the past middle ages in the Scottish Highlands. It also has some mystery and suspense to it. A good read or listen. I read the book and also purchased it on audio as I liked it so well.

What aspect of Marianna Palka’s performance would you have changed?

a little more life in her reading would have improved things considerably. interactions between characters was good but in between could have had more life to it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed a lot throughout the book.

If you could sum up Jewels of the Sun in three words, what would they be?

If you’ve listened to books by Nora Roberts before, how does this one compare?

this is the best of the 3 in this series. It is not like many of the other books, so it would not be fair to compare. I would say to anyone if you like Irish and the legends, you will enjoy this series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no, i could walk away from it and pick it up again. the book is interesting but not riveting. It pulls your emotions. there are actually 2 stories within the books. the background story does not end with his book and it leaves you wanting to know how it also ends.

    Any additional comments?

I have read this series. I rate this book the best because i was the least frustrated the characters. There are people with certain character traits that annoy you in real life and i find they annoy me in books also. Darcy the sister highly annoyed me.

What made the experience of listening to Primal Law the most enjoyable?

It was different from many of the books I have.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Primal Law?

There are quite a few moments in the book that come to mind. The love story running through the book was good, even if I had moments of wanting to shake a few characters but they are guys and I am female, so what can I say. The Fae prince is an interesting character along with the gremlin. There is suspense, love, cute moments, humor in the book. It is much more than a love story.

What does Kirsten Potter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

how to pronounce some words. To be fair I listened to the book last month. Nothing negative sticks in my mind, so performance must have been ok.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Unknown Valor.

    Any additional comments?

I plan on getting the whole series. It has caught my interest. Now I need to know what happens next.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Demon You Know to be better than the print version?

The audio is nice as someone else is pronouncing those names that you always wonder if you got it right. I like to listen to books while weeding or dusting, etc. Those mindless jobs goes by much quicker. Otherwise it just depends on my mood or activity.

What other book might you compare The Demon You Know to and why?

Each book of Christine Warren's is unique. Not maybe as intense as Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books. It is paranormal but in a nice way. Hard to compare to other books or other authors.

Did Kate Reading do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

she did as well as anyone could do. No matter how good the narrator is, it is hard for a woman to do a man's voice. I was not really impressed with some her characters and the voice she gave them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found parts funny. Sometimes i get fed up when a female continues to carry on and determined to have it her way without using her brain. She did come to her senses but to my way of thinking, it could have been sooner.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book and if you like paranormal but like happy endings, you will enjoy the book. I recommend the book.

Would you listen to Devil of the Highlands again? Why?

i have listened to the book several times. I really enjoyed the humor, the mystery and the tender moments.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Devil of the Highlands?

i found the events before the wedding humorous. All the characters involved have been given their individual personalities and hopefully will be given their own stories.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

i loved the accent of the narrator but sometimes her voice was a monotone. I would not let this discourage anyone from trying the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I read the book first then listened to the book. I could not put the book down as the story kept my attention.
