"VERY Slow Start but..."
Once the story got going, it took me to another place and time which is why I love science fantasy.
When Shawna the two-legger pounced on Rovey the Dragon. Obviously it was a shock to everyone!
For me, this book had a very long, slow start and I almost gave up on it. When the foundation for the story was being laid, the Narrator was difficult for me to listen to. There was just something about the way she finished sentences that bothered me. As the plot began unfolding and the characters began interacting, all my issues above went away. I enjoyed the story once it finally got started. I don't believe it to be a terribly unique storyline but entertaining which is all I ask. I will finish the series.
"The Plot Runs"
Yes because the book captures your interest right away and keeps you there. The plot isn't too predictable so it keeps you guessing.
There really are several. I thought it got better as it progressed.
The main character, the wife got on my nerves big time.
If I had time, yes.
If you like survival/action type books, you'll like this one. It's completely fictional but still a great listen.
