When Secret Intelligence Service deniable operator Nick Stone aborts an officially sanctioned assassination attempt at the Houses of Parliament, having realised who the target is, he is given a chilling ultimatum by his bosses: fly to Panama and finish the job, or Kelly, the 11-year-old orphan in his guardianship, will be killed.

Mcnab is one of my favorite writers of all time and this is one of my favorites of his books I wish audible could get more of them. I love the gritty realism that only someone whose been there and done that can describe. To those that think that the plot is farfetched in any way remember that Mcnab probably know's more about what really happens in commando operations than anyone alive.

Helsinki, December 1999. Nick Stone, ex-SAS, now working for British Intelligence on deniable operations, is tough, resourceful, ruthless, highly-trained, and desperately in need of cash. Offered the lucrative freelance job of kidnapping a Mafia warlord and delivering him to St Petersburg, it seems to Stone that his problems are over. In fact, they are only just beginning.

I agree with all those who want more mcnab on audible. He's by far my favorite writer and the best espionage writer around. To those who are dissapointed about how the main character doesn't put on a bandana and run around like rambo, I am sorry. But Mcnab is england's most decorated living soldier and an ex-SAS operative knows more than anyone about how commando operations work so if you think this is far fetched you are mistaken.
