will listen again because story was gripping and I loved the characters!
after the Milla met with the adoptive parents
Joyce Bean is very good at female and male voices. James didn't sound wimpy and the emotions were gripping
First love scene and after meeting adoptive parents
Book was really slow at the beginning, almost didn't continue listening but sooooo glad I did. I cried and laughed and felt the heart stopping moments when Milla found her son and then gave him to his new parents.
Yes! Story line realistic and easy to follow, but having a wonderful narrator makes all the difference! Emma is excellent at the voices of all her characters! Ham sounds deep and scratchy and like a man, so his part in the story "felt" real. Loved "Cookie" because her drama was simple and real and NOT drug out all through the book! I get frustrated when the whole story is drama and could have been resolved with a conversation.
Ham (Graham) So reasonable. Delightfully intent, sexy, and masterful.
Emma brought the characters to life. was very pleased to listen and went looking for more books she's narrated.
wanted to, but had to sleep. Couldn't wait to start it again in the morning though!
A good book is made better by a good narrator. I've listened to some so-so books that were better than the writing alone because of the narrator, and I've listened to some really good books that were hard to get through because the narrator wasn't right for the story. It's a team adventure and this team is a winner on all accounts!!
story is well written, characters are well thought out. and story line is different enough to be thought provoking but believable. I didn't want to put it down!
Tenley and Hayden are both favorites. I believe I like Tenley because while she was a strong woman she needed someone to lean on because of all the trauma in her resent past. Seeing her grow stronger while dealing with the memories was believable, I like Hayden because he could relate to Tenley because of his own loss, but wanted some of his past to also be resolved as the author kept bringing the police officer into the story line but it didn't go anywhere. Of course, this may all come about if and when Ms. Hunting decides to finish the book with an actual ending to the story.!
Both main characters were performed well, were believable and likable even if avoiding talking to each other was carried to the extreme and caused a lot of needless heartache that a little conversation would have taken care of. There was enough going on in Hayden's and Tenley's past that needed to be dealt with that not sharing info and keeping secrets didn't make much sense, especially on Tenley's part. Being a man whore is something I can understand Hayden not wanting to share...
No end in sight
I am so tired of getting into books only to find there isn't an ending. I consume enough reading material that I want one story to end before I begin another. There wasn't even a hint that there wouldn't be an ending to this book. The book was long enough I thought I was safe. I avoid the new trend in book writing selling where you only get a chapter or two at a time when ever I spot them. This author is fantastic, however, if I find this is her writing style I'll avoid purchasing any more of her books!
Grace did a good job with all the characters
Cassie made the stupidest decisions, for the stupidest reasons, over and over again. once I can understand but why she went back home over and over again was stupid
I would & will recommend this book in a heartbeat! The story is well written and involving. Liz Flaherty is now at the top of my list of authors as well as Rebecca Gibel who narrated the book.
There were several...several moments with Promise stirred my heart strings, and in the gazebo
I laughed out loud and cried real tears
Can't wait to read more from this author
really liked the narrator.
lots of emotion in the voices and loved Jake's voice
made me angry. I didn't like the stupid choices Tru made from sleeping with Jake when she was still with her boyfriend to the way she told him to the way she hung on to being mad at Jake for his drug use and sleeping around.
I don't like books written in the 1st person as a rule, but the narrator convinced me to listen with the hope of being hooked into the story. However, I put the story on fast speed to get it over with as I admit to being curious as to how it would end but just could not stand Tur's wishy washy back and forth attitude.
hard to listen to. The story line wove heart retching events that were too hard for a simple love story. I wanted to stop listening several times but knew there had to be a happy ending in there somewhere
the last few chapters
right after the attempted abortion in the barn. couldn't stand it.
very good book, but I don't think I'll ever want to listen to it again. some parts were just too much to bare.
funny story with tears! The very best kind
Pip-great voice and character! but it was a close call because I liked Brody, and Heath and Annabelle, and....
she made the Characters come alive
Pip, and Heath, Brody . . .Book club group. The characters were all well rounded and full
Didn't think this would be as good as it was. Was delightfully surprised. Didn't want to stop listening!
I would recommend this book, even though it's not my usual fare. The book brought forth a wealth of emotions!
I cried when Max was sent back home to be adopted
worth a credit and more
haven't read the book, but the audio is pretty darn good!
When Braden says he's slept with someone else
love Braden's voice and accent
Can't wait to hear it all again!
haven't read the book but Susan Bennett is an excellent reader! She made the characters come alive in my head and compassion as well as passion had a wealth of feeling.
Entire book was filled with charmingly funny moments.
when Jake realized he loved Marla Jean
Wish Molly Cannon had more books on Audible, I'd jump on them!
