The story is good and a new concept, but the narration bothered me. She is trying too hard, and it comes off as strange and whispery instead of sexy. The romance is pretty ordinary, I wound rather have had more of the elementals.
Love the author's other books, but his one bored me senseless. I could barely get through it.
I think a lot of mind altering substances went into the creation of this book
Near the top- very entertaining.
Angel Crawford - like Sookie Stackhouse's white trash cousin.
The characters and the aliens are imaginative. The plot jumps around way too much and it is hard to keep track of who is who.
Make it much shorter- it really drags in spots.
The narrator is ok, but the volume goes up and down and I thought it was from my iPhone.
This is an excellent historical novel, but not what I would call sci-fi. The time travel aspect is kind of an afterthought added to move the characters around.
Not quite as good as the other A. Lee Martinez books, but the narrator is excellent.
How many cliches can you fit in one book? Add some laughable sex scenes and this is the result. The narrator did the best he could with what he had to work with.
