Joe

This is a great start to what I hear is an amazing series. With all 10 of the books having been out for some time now, I was hoping to dive headlong into them. But, alaas, all I can get my hands on is Book 1. Please hurry and get the rest of the series uploaded to you site so I can buy them and give you a bunch of money :) Thank you.

I thought that the basic idea for the story was a good one and fairly original. I just felt that there was a lot more that could be done with that idea. I'll not put any spoilers in here, but I have to say that with Wally's old memories and talents, he should have figured things out much faster. I'm speaking of the entire series here, but even in the first book there weree things a person from our world should have been able to sort out on their own. In the second boook, I figured out what was going on and I don't even have the chemical background that Wally does. There seemed to be some plot holes that Duncan could have filled in with a little more thought and effort.

I think so. Despite it's flaws it is still a good story. It is fun and fresh and exciting. If you have a credit you're looking o burn, go ahead and pick it up.

I wil definitely listen to 'Summerland' again. It is a heart-warming story about being a kid and growing up. Even though I am not the biggest baseball fan, I still really enjoyed this book I was surprised by just how much I liked listening to 'Summerland', especially to while sitting in the un.

'Summerland' reminded me, slightly, of a kinder and gentler 'Talisman' by Stephen King. Both are coming of age stories of young boys who et out on a fantastical adventure to save the Universe and one of their parents.

I felt that Chabon did a wonderful job as the narrator. Unlike some people, I usually enjoy it when the author reads his own work. It seems to me that Chabon would know better than anyone else the tone and cadence of the story. While not an actor, Chabon does a fairly good job with the different voices and emotions of he characters.

In the start of the book it was as if Chabon had crawled inside of my head and pulled out my exact thoughts, feelings, and reactions toward baseball when I was a kid. Much like Ethan, I almost never took the bay off of my shoulders while in the batters box. Players on the other team, as well as mine, would make fun of me, just the way they did with Ethan. It was really quite errie just who spot on Chabon described what I thought to be a solitary experience.

While the books is aimed at the "young adult" audience, it is a delightful story of any age. Baseball lover or not, I think this is a great listen on a summer afternoon.

I recently discovered Sheckley and instantly fell in love with his writing style. I finished Mindswap in less than a day. I couldn't stop listening to it.
The characters are well developed, original, funny, and weird (in the best sense of the word). The story is wildly unique and switches genres like nothing I've read before. It is a fast paced. humorous, and strange story that will keep you listening.

Genius. Hilarious. Perfect.

As I said in my title, this book is the Hitchhiker's Guide's precursor. I can't imagine what Douglas Adams must have been thinking and feeling while he was reading this for the first time, apparently after Hitchhiker's had been published. They share so much of the dry, irreverent, metaphysical humor that it is hard to believe that Adams had never read Dimensions before. If you like Hitchhiker's Guide at all, GET THIS BOOK!

Absolutely everything. Neil Gaiman hit the nail square on the head when he asked John Hodgman to narrate this book.

I loved this book. I found it to be funny and witty and thought provoking. The story was suburb and the characters were charming and well rounded. I started listening to it again as soon as I finished it the first time and I plan on getting any and all other Robert Sheckley books that Audible has to offer.

This is a beautifully written, richly imagined story that ties in real world historical events into to the fictitious world that the characters live in. The relationships between Joe and Sam, between Joe and ROsa, and between Sam and Tracy are complex and dynamic thins that kept me hooked. I absolutely loved this book and was thrilled when I saw that Audible finally had an unabridged version of it.

I haven't started it yet, but I can't wait. Thank you Audible for picking the second book up. I hope you get the rest soon.

I had no idea what as book was about when I picked it up. I thought it would be a simple super hero story along the lines of "Ex-Heroes" or "Tales of a D List Super Hero". I was totally wrong. WHile, as the title suggests, the plot is very predictable and rife with plot holes, the message it delivers, is a very important one of self acceptance , self confidence, and love. The fact that the main character is a gay, while a major aspect of the main character, is not the main point. What the author does a great job of showing is just how hard it is to love yourself, let alone any body else and how we can't do one without the other.

I think this is a great book for teens of any sexual orientation. It does a terrific job of shining a light on an area of adolescence that is often overlooked. Though it is not a literary master work by any means, it is certainly worth checking out.

This is one of the most uninspired, unoriginal, and boring works of fantasy I've have ever had the misfortune of listening to. It has been a long time since I finally finished this drawn out piece of garbage so I can't get too specific. One of the things that stands out is that there is a red dragon in the story named Scarlet. Seriously? Did the author let his 5 year old daughter help him write this awful book? It kind of seems like he did. And then there are the Mud People. Really? Mud People? It is simply terrible.

The only reason I got the book now is that you have to had bought it from Audible in order to write a review. When I saw this title as part of the BOGO sale I had to get it. I needed to let you people know just what a steaming pile of crap this book is. When a UPN television series is better than a book, you know the author did something VERY wrong. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BOOK! IT SUCKS!!

This is one of the freshest and most original stories I have come across in a long time. The way in which Carr first introduces the reader into his world is genius. Blending ancient hitory and fantasy in this way really captured my full attention. Carr's writing style is witty and insightful. The title alone tells much of what Carr is trying to get across in his story.
The narrator also gives a knock out performance Mr. Reynolds really brought the story to life. His infections and tone do a great job of fleshing out and individualizing the characters. Time Reynolds also brings a sense of humor to the reading. There have already been several moments, and I am only on CHapter 6, where I laughed out loud. It's kind of like Monte Python meets George R.R. Martin.
I had never heard of this book or the author before but at the end of The Daylight War, during the "credits", The Legend of Broken was recommended by the company that produced The Daylight War. I went straight to my computer and downloaded Broken and am super glad that I did.

WTF Audible? What's up with not letting me know that this was out? With all the recommendation from you for books I've already listened to, I am SHOCKED that not once did you recommend this to me. I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!
