If you want a fun read without expectations of fast moving adventure and deep mystery, this book will keep you interested and smiling at the two ladies and their friends and the pictures the book conjures in your mind of the African bush country. I recommend this book for reading when you just want to chill out with a fun story and colorful characters.

The historical information from the perspective of a woman who made her way in the world on her own wits and insights.
When she went out in the bush to get the boy and bring him back.
I think the title is wonderfully appropriate -- wouldn't change it
the main character was so clearly described and getting to know her was a real delight.
The narrator in the audiobook almost made me stop listening to it. He sounded like he had a mouth full of mush. The book itself was OK but really not up to Michael Connelly's standard.
