Like everyone else, I knew Meredith Baxter-Birney from Family Ties and television movies, but this book is a revelation into a real life with real people. She is honest to a fault- and pulls no punches at the trials she has endured as the daughter of a famous mom, an actress, wife, mother, and finally, a happy and fulfilled woman. She reads with true emotion during each chapter of her life and I would highly recommend this book to all. It is interesting, funny, awe-inspiring and sometimes tear-jerking, but always Meredith. One of the best autobios I have ever read. I came away feeling like she was one of my friends; I always admired her as an actress, but now I admire the woman as well.

Anytime I hear about something that puts Sarah Palin in a negative light, it's always going to get five stars from me!

Come on... this is what I thought when I listened to this book. This author was a lifetime criminal; but to hear her tell it, none of it was her fault... it was her mother, her father, her siblings, her kids, her lovers, etc.... Reality is obviously not something she's familiar with.

If you are a newshound like me, you will enjoy this book. It talks about how the news was back in the early days.. and how it has changed to become what it is today. Great read by the man himself, Mr. Mudd.

I would recommend this book to everyone... even those who weren't fans of Christopher Reeve. This book is about loss, courage, determination, resignation, family, spirit and most of all how strong the bonds of love can be throughout all. I enjoyed this book from the first word and Edward Hermann is an excellent narrator and was a friend to the Reeves, as well. If you want to be uplifted, even through the tragedy in this book, buy it, you won't be sorry.

One drawback in having the author narrate- if they are not accustomed to public speaking, they tend to speak way to fast and without much intonation, as if they can't wait to get it over with. That's what happened here; although I think the book is worth buying I wish Audible would do a better job of monitoring and mentoring their narrations.

I was starting to worry about Mary Jo; she stood by her man for way too long. This book is the final, honest account of her story with Joey B. and the aftermath of the shooting. She is painfully honest and detailed and she deserves kudos for writing a book that sets the record straight from her point of view. I'm glad to hear she is doing well and now has a new life without that jerk!

This book was fantastic, and the author narration made it even better. Conversational, honest, funny, everything you want in an audiobook. Craig tells it like it was; good, bad, and ugly, and his candor made me love him even more (notwithstanding he is really cute as heck!).

I couldn't get through this mountain of words and boredom. I tried really hard, but I couldn't do it. Rambling and scattered, it is very difficult to listen to and just not interesting at all.

You will love this book. I have been a fan since the beginning of time and she still keeps it real and very very funny. You won't be disappointed!
