"Dissappointed"
I'm not going to trash this lecture because Thich Nhat Hanh is an excellent teacher, but as the other reviewer stated, he was virtually unintelligible. Get something written by him and narrated by someone else. I found a title called"No Death no Fear" and find it to be very good. Or better yet, just get something by Pema Chodron.
"A wonderful book!"
Well written and narrated, this is a fascinating story of one man's journey to sobreity. I highly recommend it!
""You are my clown-faced zombie""
This book is a must-have for anyone in pain from the last 8 years of the little shrub's rule.
"I just don't know"
I was first introduced to Augusten Burroughs with his book "Dry" and enjoyed his self-deprecating sense of humor, but this book is not of the same caliber....I found myself wincing at most of the "funny" anecdotes that he recounts. Additionally, Burrough's narration is at times embarassing, as his ability to emulate his character's voices comes off a bit sophomoric and amatuerish. My suggestion to anyone looking for light, comedic reading to purchase go for anthing by David Sedaris, as he is the definitive master of this genre.
"not a book to taken lightly"
this book is not just another self-help instructional, but a life lesson. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is seeking an alternative to westeren concecepts of religion, sex or moral taboos that we are all mired in. It may take more than one listen to the audiobook for the message to sink in, but it is worth the money and the time.
