Mercy in action... with the giant Fea.
I enjoyed all of it. The descriptions was fantastic!
There was a lot of new information, new charcters....easy to get confused if you are not careful.
I try to look at the positive of all the books that I have listend to.
Positive: I absolutely love the reader! Jill Redfield is Amazing... Amazing... Amazing!!! She brings the book to life. Suzanne is a very good auther, I love her imagination. When you think that the Phoenix Pack series is predicatable, Suzanne finds a way to suprise you. I enjoy the suspense, fantasy, the character build up, the climax of the stories, and lets not forget the sex. Carnal secrets has a fair amount of sex and attraction. I love that the sex does not over power the story.
Con: The main females in each story seem to have many similarities, they are mostly dominant to a certain point and the sex scenes seem to be very much the same from book to book in the Phoenix Pack.
Over all, If you listened to "Wicked Cravings" you have to listen to Carnal Secrets!!!!
Too many things going on in the book. I almost had to pull out a notebook to keep up with the names and different creatures. Surprisingly, I was more interested in the main character's mom and her "friend". The book was better than the movie.
My goodness... This book is definitely far fetched given that vampires, werewolves, and fairies are the creatures I'm more interested in. This book surprised me completely with the type of creatures they introduced. It is well written given that it is a YA book. I enjoyed listening about the main characters but they get too emotional about their situations. I'm debating whether or not I want to listen to the other book. I would have to say that the Good Guys creeped me out but overall a good book.
Sexy, Sweaty, Sexy, Hot :) Very good story, I would have to say this is my favorite book from the entire series.
I have learned to love science fiction/ fantansy romance books. However, this book has been a nice change of pace. I have felt every emotion possible and it is pretty innocent. I would definately listen if I were you :)
As I listened carefully... I expected for their r to be some excitement, high impact action instead of most of the story taking place in a CAVE in the middle of the desert. Don't get me wrong, it was a good LOVE story but not an action/romance story like I enjoy. Also, I think the hype about the "Host" is done too soon since the Twilight. There are mix feelings about this book. So you must listen to really determine if you like it. Don't assume you know what the book is about, because it definitely has a bunch of twists and turns. :)
The reader was awesome... The reader did a great job with the different characters.
I wish this book was better linked to the other books. I became a sucker to a little romance with the first two books, so I expected Bitterblue to have a true romance story.
The reader should have used the same voices/ accents for all the previous characters in the other books that were currently in this book. I was a confused listener. Let me add that I enjoyed Kristin Cashore in the other
I enjoyed listening about the other characters especially the main characters.
What really disappointed me the most about this books was that there was an incredible amount of details that I took many little breaks and I would not know what the point of the details were.
I enjoyed Graceling (1) and I fully enjoyed Graceling-Fire (2)... eventhough they were soooo different from eachother and with little overlap, I truly forgot that Graceling-Fire is part of a series. Graceling-Bitterblue (3) I found myself trying to look for hints on how the books interlinked. I looked too hard to the point it became challenging to remain engaged. Let me add that I've been listening to this book for 3-4weeks, which is not like me.
All in all, each book are good "stand alone" books. Again the only downfall is that being part of a series I expected for their to be interwined storylines....
The fighting... girl power...
Yes, a movie.
To be honest. I was extreamly excited about getting this book and I was soooooooo sad when I began to hear the audio book. I did not understand the language they spoke. It was serious Hill Billy/ Europeans with a deep southern drawl. Huh? Yes, that was my reaction when the dialogues changed. I'm suprised I finished the audio book. I'm glad that the author explained the background more than once throughout the book, so I was able to catch and understand a few things here and there. Again, the story wasn't bad, I just wish I could have understood the Language the main characters spoke.
Here is a little relief... it did get better to understand as the story moved along.
I have not tried the print version. I would have to say that it took me the second book to get use to the reader. She was a little better in book two.
OMG.... All of it. The entire book was memorable... great story lines. What I enjoyed the most was the different climax's through out the book. It kept me in suspense and more interested in the the story than in the sex. Which let me say, it was good too ;)
This book could have been easily a "stand alone" book. Actually, we need book 1 for all the background info. I'm pretty sure, with a little more info in book two L. E James could have ended it with book two. As a fan, I would have been an extreamly happy camper.
I would try another E.L. James book. I'm sure her books would be a little bit better written now that she has written her first trilogy. In regards to Becca Battoe... I wouldn't completely bash her as these books are intense. So, you almost had to be the perfect reader must have the sensual voice and also the sexy masculin voice.
The pregnancy and everyone's reaction to it. The least interesting was all the sex during the honeymoon. I think there was too much of it and felt the need to skitp through those parts.
If I could change anything it would be her performance with all the sex intensity and men's voices.
I think a series would be best on HBO.... given all the sex and the different stories (climax) that could be put into different episodes.
I would Not re-read 50 Shades Freed.
