I love Nora Roberts .. yet this book is so boring I can't even make it beyond the first part. I have give up on it and bought another book. Very surprising for Norra's work.

I don't always write reviews but I enjoyed this series so much I have to say so. The twist and turns all through from beginning to end caused me to loose sleep. I couldn't stop listening. I don't want to give it all away. I just want to say I'm hard to please where books are concerned and I very seldom finish a whole series. However this whole series has stayed with me for days after I had finished. I loved the "first person" approach a lot. I think the surprises in the end were by far the best part. The hard part now is to try to find another series like this. Like I said I am really picky. LOL

Over all I've loved these books. I am a little disappointed with Step this time. Without giving it all away .. I feel she is a two-faced ho. She is so worried about Joe being with a past flame from high school and Ranger being with a very talented girl bounty hunter. She should talk. She should be put on a street corner. At least she could bring in some money to buy her cakes and cookies . It seems that's all she's good at lately. As for the two men in her life .. they both should send her packing and share the earnings from her street corner job.
Putting that aside the story was good with some laughs from time to time.

I agree and disagree with the other reviews. Yes she wined a lot .. to the fault of her family. I could overlook all that but what turned me OFF was once again a girls words don't mean a thing!! No wonder men think a girl means yes when they so no. Over and over again authors creat women saying and acting strong ... like they can handle things themselves and then like some bad virus they get infected and they can't remember what was important to them. Their yes becomes no and their no becomes yes. They hurt their friends .. their values get lost ... they become weak willed and weak minded. That I can't overlook. Where are the female authers who will create women who will remain strong no matter what!!!! As for this one .. in the end she acts like she's been druged. She can't even remember a book with a flower. Women -in real life- like this turn my stomach!!!!!

I am so tired of the femails all acting like they have a defect in their body. A male puts a hand on them and ... oops ... their legs pop open. Oh ya and then "they HATE them for that but don't ya know .. it just keeps happening. As far as this femail .. give ma a break .. she just loves her life only to "F" an old flame two days after seeing him again and then calls her man and feels guilty. YA THINK!!!!! Not only that the dumb bimbo "just hates him for what he did to her years ago when he took her future away" but oops there goes that defect again and darn it if her legs just don't pop open again. I can't even finish this book. I will just add this author to the long list of authors that takes away the femails ability to think beyond her "tight little spot." and try to find someone that can tell a story with depth.

I tried getting behind these books. I couldn't do it!! I stomached 1 and a half books and had to stop. I came accross this one .. forgetting it was part of a series until I started listening to it. How dissapointing to waste my money on this. Nothing angers me more then when an "author" tries to wrap what seems to be a really good book around soft porn. I will NOT make this mistake again.

I like the book but after enjoying the voice of Therese Plummer .. Cecelia Frontero does not do it for me. The book was good but the reader brought it down!!!

I am a great fan of Nora Roberts. Her book (of corse) is good. Her reader, however, is the worst I've ever heard. I would advise never to use this one again.
