Who knows what goes on? I sure don't. But it was an interesting listen if you've ever wondered about Scientology. Of course, this is just one person's perspective.
Wanting a little romance for that 1.5 road trip? Do you dig the werewolf vs. vampire thing? You might like this one. A nice short one with great storytelling and production.
If you are into dark age fantasy, horror and mystery, you could enjoy this one. The narrator has a really nice voice and can act. Sometimes the storytelling was a little too fast for my brain to keep up, but he portrayed the characters so well, that it kept me entertained. This is just a prequel, so the real "good" stuff is yet to come. I suppose that's what a prequel is supposed to do, make you want for more, and I do.
I liked it. It was an easy listen and the narrator is a wonderful storyteller and actor. The story is, as described, more for YA. The beginning is produced with an echo that threw me off at first. I couldn't figure out if it was a dream sequence or trying to emulate telling a story onstage in a hall. The effect went on for a while, so I decided it was all about giving the impression of storytelling live. Just when I gave into that idea, the production changes. So, if that bit turns you off, give it time. It gets better. I recommend this audiobook to those who love faery fantasy and who enjoy uncomplicated reading/listening.
I love King's style of writing and enjoyed hearing his personal take on the craft in his voice. He did a great job telling his story and it was interesting to learn how so many of his famous books were developed. An added bonus is that it is an interesting memoir too.
Any fan of Stephen King would enjoy listening to this book. I read the hard copy years ago and wanted some new inspiration for my own writing. I'm going to listen to the end with hard copy in hand. He has so much to teach!
Easy listening for easy entertainment in the vampire & other creature genre - fun!
Getting more of Faith's take on the background to the vamps history and mystery.
I've only listened to Khristine Hvam in this series. I love her voice and accent. Her read is smooth, silky and bad ass all at the same time. Perfect for this series.
I would have liked to listen in one sitting. It was very good.
I loved Ethan! The perfect boyfriend......
Kevin does such an awesome job delivering all the different characters. I LOVED his accents and non-accent. He brought wonderful energy, emotion and drama perfectly and his voice is easy to listen to. I didn't want it to end.
I love that it is set in New Orleans with Vampires involved.
Smooth delivery and a great voice! Khristine has great style and ability with characters and narration.
Empowering! ;) Educational. Entertaining.
This is a must listen for every woman. If you have been on the path of creating a better life for yourself for a long time or are just starting to be called to do so, listen here. Wisdom shared by some of the worlds best speakers, it is educational, empowering and entertaining from beginning to end. Lots of laugh out loud moments and lots learned. It is recorded live, so some of the visual messages are lost, but it's still worth it.
Fun. Touching. Clever.
I started to read this book and put it down. Thought it would be too emotional during the first chapter for me. I decided to listen after hearing a sample and LOVED IT! I'm a dog person and fell in love with Enzo. Christopher did a great job narrating. Wonderful storytelling and vocal skills with a voice that is easy to listen to.
