In my top 20, which is means it is tied with many of my most favorites.
OfFred, because it is her story.
She is excellent, what can you say, It Is Claire Danes!
A Hand Maids Tale, be careful it may be the future......
It was excellent, I had to walk away sometimes because it was so sad and creepy....but I always came back.
Yes, I love the reading of Jane Entwistle she really brings Flavia to life!
Flavia, what a gem, this in my mind is a going to become a classic. The writing is superb, I can not not give these books enough praise!
Flavia, of course! She has captured the essence of this character!
I love all these books and am anxiously awaiting the next!
A must read for mystery fans!!
I like the story it is fun and interesting.
Gweneth, because it is her story.
The reader is very sing songy and I hate that! I like readers that read naturally and do not have such a false cadence to there performance.
I am sure the Disney Chanel will pick it up.
Mary, she is such a powerful and sympathetic character.
Jennnifer Ehle brought this story to life and gave voice to Mary in such an amazing way. I read this book years ago and recommend it to my middle school students, but it was much better to listen to.
The entire story is powerful.
I hope the sequel is done as well.
Yes, and I have to everyone! This is a smart, hilarious, down to earth book. I loved every second of it and will be making sure my daughters in college listen to it! This is in my top favorite books, and that is saying a lot because, I am a Librarian and I have quite a collection of favorite books!
Her prayer for her daughter, she nailed every worry that I have for my daughters.
Well, she was not really performing but reading her life, so I guess she is awesome, because the book was so good.
Watch this movie, you will laugh your ass off.....be....
Thank you Tina, you are as inspiring as you are funny.
I really enjoy these books, they are very detailed and I can picture so perfectly this English town and countryside. However, Susan Hill drives me mad with her willingness to kill off key characters. Why does everyone have to die?
I like the way she narrates from the killers point of view.
The death of Chris, although I am mad he died!
Chris's death made me cry.
I hope some happier things happen in the next books, this one brought me down. I am taking a break from this series.
I love this author and have read a few of her books, this is the first one I have listened to........very annoying!!
The enunciation was extreme and sing songy, sort of mono-tone. I really thought about not listening and then I eventually got used to it, but this was not the usual standard of Audible.
