"Wicked Lovely key details"
The first thing you'll notice (sadly) is the narrator's gravely voice it kind of dilutes the illusion of the young adult romantic triangle, or quadrangle. The narrator sadly doesn't have a lot of range of emotion or voice characterization, and so some of the excitement or finer points of feeling are lost in translation. But a grudging sort of familiarity is reachable towards the middle or end of the book. The story however is as they say a different story. Its dangerously wild fantasy with lots of the romantic magical attractions thrown in. Between the point of surprising modern fairy-tale like aspects and the intriguing plot points of betrayal, heritage, and twisted love...it comes out very nice. Not all pots of gold and fairy sunshine, but hopeful and heartbreaking at the same time.
