I found this book written in a sought of conversation format. Format without chapters or sections. It was as if you were sitting face to face with Casanova while he while telling you how his "wildest" exhibitions begin. Very interesting. I look forward to reading and studying more on this great seductionist...
To anyone who has all 5 senses and has ever made an excuse about what they cannot improve their lives in some positive way "NEEDS" to read this book. For someone such as Helen Keller, who lived most of her life without the ability to hear or see, who accomplished the great things she accomplished, There's no reason why people today should make any "excuses" on why they cannot find ways (or better ways) to improve themselves, and their life styles... This book hits the core of a person, "it touches your spirit."
I started this book with no preconceived notions. I just wanted to know more about the Artist known as "Jimi Hendrix", whom I had seen and heard of over the years. From the very beginning of the book, I was in a trance - I did not want to stop reading. From the raw, unedited, details of the story teller, I felt as if I was there with "Jimi" during his life - This is a skill that only "the most" talented writers can do; pulling the reader deep into the story, deep into the "experience." "I highly recommend this book" to anyone looking for "Truth" and "Inspiration" from the life of "Jimi Hendrix."
This story pulls you in from within the 1st few chapters. By showing what someone feels and thinks when their emotions hit extreme, in many different areas, is very eye opening - it was hard for me to put the book down; wanting to read more, and more and more. Reading her story of BPD, and how she has recovered, was like witnessing evolution, but emotionally, and in a much shorter period of time... "Great Book."
The way the Author made you understand that it's a science behind how feel, and act in different situations.
I have not found such a book. This one seems pretty original.
Very intellectual... Like a seasoned university professor.
"The Heart's Mind"
This book provides some "GREAT" information. But! All the Medical Terminology makes it hard to follow from the beginning. It took me a few chapters to really get into, and understand what some of the Medical Terms were... If this was written with in an easier to follow format (i.e. without all the Medical Terminology) I would have gave it "5 Stars" across the board. But because of the use of all the Medical Terminology, at times, I found myself trying to figure out what certain word meant, or stood for, rather than just focusing on the actual information in the story that was being told.
"Extremely Eye Opening."
When I realized in the middle of the 1st chapter that I have a few close family members possibly with BPD.
The young wife with BPD
I will look for further info on BPD, to see how I can apply it to the situations in my life that I deal with, with those close to me that might have the disorder.
The raw, and blatant honesty.
My favorite character was Iceberg Slim. The reason is that I love the fact that he did not try to display himself as some kind of godlike figure, with this being an autobiography about his life. Instead he explained everything about his life, from child to middle-aged Man. From a non-pimp adolescent to a retired middle-aged Pimp. The good, the bad and the "extremely ugly." And from there he let the reading hear, feel, and interpret his story, as they so choose. Autobiographies like this are without a doubt "The most interesting."
His entire 1st, jail stent.
I did not have an extreme emotional reaction, but I did have an extreme intellectual reaction. But seeing the ugliness of one man's horrors and mistakes in full detail, has help me mentally check my own deficiencies.
Life changing book.
The realism. The intricate details - the good and the bad.
I haven't heard any other book from 50 Cent before, but I have read The Power of Seduction, and The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. I would rank this book right above The Power of Seduction, and right below The 48 Laws of Power... In that, that very insightful, and interesting style of Robert Greene's that I have come to love, is displayed first hand in this book. While breaking down the intelligence it took 50 Cent to maneuver from Urban Ghettos to the Boardroom, Robert Greene would relate different aspects of 50 Cent's intelligence (and perseverance) to many great people throughout History, such as Malcolm X, Divinci, Jon of Ach, and Napolian, just to name a few.
"The Ultimate Law"
"A must read for anyone who wants to open up an uncharted level of intelligence within themselves."
The intense details.
Towards the end of the book - When Style realized "The Game" that was being run on him.
LOL! The successful (1 male, 2 female) "threesome"
"EVERY MALE" - That, when comes to the opposite sex (The dating scene), doesn't just get it "NEEDS TO READ THIS BOOK." It can save you from "a lot" of heartache, embarrassment, lonely nights, and most importantly - WASTED TIME!
Gap filling information.
When Craig Beck spoke about a quick and easy way to control a conversation with the opposite sex, by barely saying anything.
When he went into character as the woman in the conversation who is saying a lot to someone of the opposite sex during conversation, when that man is barely speaking.
It made me see (and feel) the emotion I feel right before I laugh or cry (It some points DEAD ON!)
I love the fact that this book delivers the type of messages it set out to deliver, in such a short amount of listening (reading) time. That is a skill, that most Authors, regardless of the subject matter, tend not to have. I must say, that I was fairly impressed with as much information as I picked up from such a short book. I will be reading this again very soon... "I highly recommend this book" to any guy who feels that they know, a little, or fairly decent amount of the pieces to the dating puzzle (and the psychology of women), but those pieces are scattered around in their brain. This book will fill in "A LOT" of those gaps.
