"A good listen"
A fan of The Who for many years I never knew the origins of a lot of the music. This book filled a lot of gaps and answered questions I didn't know I had about The Who. Spoken with honesty it is refreshing to hear events unfold that are not particularly flattering to the author as well as the good stuff. It could only have been read by Pete Townsend.
"Glad I got this book"
Not an everyday subject but one that is important to everyone, this book explained a lot and helped answer a lot of questions I had about the rise of Hitler and the prosperity of a lot of us throughout the 20th Century.
"A novel perspective on human nature and behavior"
47 concepts of human behavior that make up the basis of a good deal of what we do. Presented in a factual but light manner that makes it a very interesting listen. Well spoken and interesting, This will be one audiobook I will certainly listen to again. If you want some insight into human behavior without the boring bits this the book to get.
"Good stuff to know"
A story about an interesting time. Sad that those people we held to be experts were found to be no smarter than the rest of us. This is one book that is all the more interesting for being written a couple of years ago as it is easy to see the pattern of greed starting to repeat itself. Sad for those who lost their life's savings but hopefully a warning for everyone else.
"A good way to spend 19 hours"
19 hours is just not enough to cover such a prolific career. I was worried this might be a bit slow, but found in the end that I still had a few questions and could have happily listened for another few hours. Written with humility and a sense of humor. Extra good if you like animals.
