    "Not Connelly's best"

I have gone through almost all of Connelly's books and this one just didn't do it for me. I would have to agree with the previous posting from Joel that the narrator of this book does not have much fluctuation in his voice for the different characters, which leads it to being very dry and at times confusing. I really haven't been a Terry McCaleb fan and this just proved the point even more. The story line is okay, not his best. My fav. Connelly books- The Lincoln Lawyer, The Black Echo, or to make is easier his first five books.

Women are dying. Women who have nothing in common except the fact that they once worked for the military. And they knew Jack Reacher. How and why these women are in danger completely baffles the elite FBI team working the case. There is no trace evidence. There are no links between victims. Their bodies have no fatal wounds. And the killer entered their homes and exited again like a summer breeze.

I thought this was a better listen than a few others. It pulled you into the story right away, and left you wondering what was going to happen next. Dick Hill reads like Dick Hill, that is why he is so good, the previous reviewers must not have heard Dick Hill previous to Reacher, like Connely's Harry Bosch character. Hill does a great job.

I give this a 4 start because I am still new to Jack Reacher, and Child's way of writing....a little wordy/to much detail, but this is found in all of the books that I have listened to. I will probably end up listening to them all, I am almost done with the 4th book now.

Also, you have to read this because you still have to follow the story line of Reacher.

A body has been found on the overlook near Mulholland Drive. The victim, identified as Dr. Stanley Kent, has two bullet holes in the back of his head, from what looks like an execution-style shooting. LAPD detective Harry Bosch is called out to investigate. As soon as Bosch begins retracing Dr. Kent's steps, contradictions emerge. While Kent doesn't seem to have had ties to organized crime, he did have access to dangerous radioactive substances from just about every hospital in Los Angeles County.

    JoAnn Marcon says: "Good thriller"
    "One of the Best"
    Overall

I rate this as one of the best from Connelly because he has such a short time to put the story together. It immediately grabs you and takes you to the end without a break. As in other Connelly books, I have heard them all, Connelly has a warm up time like most writers have, and then they deliver. This book starts out great and reads like it till the end.
If you like Len Cariou, this won't disappoint. This is a classic for him also. Great all around book, very easy to listen to in one day.
