"a true gripper!"
The story is great...lots of twists, and LOTS of action. The narrator and the story together made me feel as if I was actually part of the story. Emotional swings along the way left me tired and spent at the end. Whew! what a ride!
The mother-daughter relationships...both Tessa and Libby...were really great and well written....lots of emotion
"predictable, but still fun"
Having listened to/read the entire series, number 19 was predictable but still a fun listen. Stephanie is such a believeable character and so funny!
"History, Intrigue...Rutherford"
I would listen again. All the details and all the time covered is worth hearing again.
As with the other Rutherford books, this fantastic weaving of history and fiction makes listening a joy and learning effortless.
"Alan Lewrie"
FUN FUN FUN
This series is ALOT like the Jack Aubrey series...but I enjoy Alan Lewrie, and his adventures, more that Aubrey. I would expect anyone familiar with sailing would appreciate the accuracy...but it can certainly be enjoyed by anyone. The series continues to be a joy to listen to :)
"Love Sam and Remy"
The story was a bit predictable BUT enjoyable as always
Scott Brick is a great narrator.
Sam and Remy always crack me up! :) It is fun to get lost in their world with them, even if just for a bit.
"like watching a great movie in my head"
It was a great book, but now that I know all the twists, and how it comes out in the end, i probably wouldn't listen again. I will be listening to more Jack Reacher novels though
It was difficult to stop listening.
"Valley girl..."
I love the story! I kept hold of me form the beginning!
Becca's voice grew on me. It's a bit of a "valley girl" sound that took some getting used to
definitely
"SUPERB"
Eventhough the narrator talks to fast this story is worth hearing and remembering. Simons, Perot, and EDS are heroes and best of all proud Americans! Great story!! And best of all...it's true!!!
"disappointed again..."
I thought I would try another Steve Berry book and try to give him the benefit of the doubt. I like his characters and the stories are fun...until the end. This is the second book by him that I am TERRIBLY disappointed in the end. Why would the characters go to all of the time and trouble of the adventure of the story, only to supress/hide all they find in the end?! grrr!
"ok story but terribly disappointing"
the story was fine until the end...I was terribly disappointed in the way this story was written. To have a cover up at the end was a really disappointing shock. too bad!
