Sophie comes back with her friends from the first book and they add her sister and mom. I did enjoy this as much as Janet Evanovich's series with Stephanie Plum! This is a must read follow-up to the first book. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this book, as much as Snyder's first, Poison Study. The characters added for this story are very well developed and you understand roles quickly. I encourage everyone to give this a listen -- Gabra Zachman is one of the better narrators I've listened to and I've listened to tons of books. I actually looked forward to my drive to/from work just so I could listen to more.
I'll go back and re-listen to these right before the next book comes out.
I'd recommend listening to this book -- it was a bit far-fetched at times, but entertaining and thought provoking to say the least. Definitely worth the time spent. I do wish there had been more about Joanne's childhood and her father's role. I'm hoping it's coming so, I'll listen to the second in the series.
I have listened to lots of romance novels lately and have to say that although the love scenes are great, the story was extremely boring. Not a lot of development of the plot. I was less than satisfied with these two main characters.
Sophie is a wonderful character and her group of friends are just the most fun! I highly recommend it for a nice, casual listen. Couldn't wait to get in my car to go to work for a nice enjoyable drive.
