"Not worth the credit!"
I love a good love scene in a story but I felt like the author was writing for a young male audience! I was not impressed! I didn't get past the beginning of the story.
"Chick book without spine, character, or likability"
I did find myself laughing here and there. However, I read up on Karen Quinn and she said that she is Ivy Ames. If so, YIKES!! That being said this book is so unrealistic and far fetched that it gives me hope that she isn't really like this character at all. Ivy Ames lies and cheats any way she can, all the while getting 4 year old's and their parents to go along with outrageous fabricated backgrounds to look more attractive to private Kindergartens. The children are asked to deny their skin color, religion, their biological parents and the fact that one child's parents are gay. One supposed feel good moment was when she treated a clients 4 year old's to get her uni-brow and mustache shaped, waxed and plucked for over 2 hours by "the best of the best", in hopes of making her look cuter for her application. I think it was supposed to be an ugly duckling turned swan moment. The author forgot to mention any hiccups that might have happened...like the 4 year old may have cried? I did actually laughed out loud more than once. OTHERWISE, I totally stopped rooting for the mother who is struggling to support her kids because she was sooooooo shallow and ugly on the inside!!! I just started part 2 and can not finish this book! I don't like this Author so much that I will stay clear of Karen Quinn...unless it's free! To Karen Quinn, pluck one hair off of any 4 year old's upper lip and see if you don't find a reaction worth mentioning!!!!
"Totally get this series!! Nora knows Guys!!"
Great story and great series..I flew threw them all!! Loved it!
Sweet story line but with an edgy back story that needs to be told!
"Good story and made me want to get a dog!!"
Good story along with smart dog training tips and dog life...Nora Roberts is a wonderful painter! I can see the bridge and trees and happy dogs!! Great story and knows what I want to read (hear) about! Loved it!
"Wasn't sure "who done it" til the end...GREAT!"
I enjoyed that there were several stories going on at once and all were important! Sandra Brown always ties her well woven stories on a neat little bow...but it's not always happily ever after...that's cool! Enjoyed the story a lot!!
"Woven beautifully!!! Great use of a credit!"
I really enjoyed this tale from down south! The reader was great....he's not a female so he doesn't sound exactly female...if you can get over that it's all up hill from there! I loved this story and found myself doing extra chores and staying up later and listening....I only give 5 stars when I think it's totally deserved!!! I am a picky credit user and am not disappointed! Enjoy!
"If you like this You Must do The Grey Man next!"
I did enjoy this story! It was fast enough to keep me interested! This is purely a action story, with a whisper of a romantic touch that remains lukewarm. The story focus, Court Gentry is a character I like! He is more Jason Bourne then Rambo, so female listeners can relate more to the smart combat as opposed to animalistic instincts. Not a credit waste, especally if you are road tripping with any male of age...curse words fly but story like isn't overtly sexual...Enjoy...but if this is your first by this Author...The Grey Man is awesome!
"Very passionate in an awesome way!"
I loved this book! The love story is powerful, sweet, and hot! This was worth my credit and I enjoyed the accent of the narrator!
"Don't let this book pass you by....great story!"
Amazingly wonderful story!!! Ken Follett is a master weaver of this tale of the love of a girl, love of a boy, love for a church, love for honor, and love for cruelty. In a time that I didn't know much about....it's interesting to hear how things were done in regards to clothes, food, religion, and love. I enjoyed this story so much...I can't believe I let it sit in my library for so long....I was saving it for a rainy day....I am so glad it finally rained!
"I love a smart story!! Worth a credit!"
Great portrayal of Holmes and Watson!! I loved this book! The reader is a talented narrator.
