I chose this book based on the number of stars and the publisher's description. The thing that was frustrating is that it doesn't say that it is a teen romance anywhere. I had a hard time getting into it knowing that it was about people ranging from 17-20. Kind of hard to take seriously for someone in their early thirties.
That said - it was well written and had great character development... I am sure that it would be very enjoyable for a younger audience.
I have always been a voracious reader. Unfortunately, I read Pride and Prejudice in high school as an assignment and didn't get it. It felt too old to be relatable to a Southern California teen. I have listened to so many women go on and on about this book as being the most romantic book ever written and inwardly rolled my eyes... Until now. Kate Reading did a phenomenal job bringing this book to life. I hung on every word and had my ipod with me everywhere I went hoping for 5 minutes to listen... to see what happened next. This is absolutely the most romantic book ever.
Three Cups of Tea is a phenomenal book written about an amazing man. I laughed, I cried- truthfully I did. This book is one of those rare books that motivates one to change... this book reminded me what a huge difference one person can make.
I have read all of Molly Harpers books and they are all wonderful. She mixes a compelling story with laugh out loud sarcasm and wit. Highly recommend.
