    Overall

I love this series!! Eve and Rourke's fighting in this one almost breaks your heart, but I had a tear in my eye when they worked things out and finished this case together!! And bringing Finney in to help and to act as Eve's father figure was great and comical. I'm glad that the voices of Peabody and McNabb are back. I missed them in a few of the earlier books. Just bought the next 3 in the series. Hopefully they will last me for a week!!

He was tall, at least six feet, with dirty blond hair that hung over his eyes. His T-shirt read Nietzsche Is My Homeboy. So, that was Matt. Who Julie Seagles likes. A lot. But there is also Finn. Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

"I've long dreamed of my fairy tale wedding, but it wasn't until I met Damien Stark - who captured me with his kisses and undid me with his touch - that I began to believe it was my destiny. Though we both carry secrets and scars, our shared passion heals us, binding us together. We have surrendered to each other completely, and our mutual ecstasy is the brightest light in my life. But darkness still snakes through the cracks in our armor. Ghosts from our past have moved in, bringing fresh pain that cuts deep and threatens to destroy everything we hold dear."

I can't figure out why, after 3 books with great drama and fantastic sex, did the author give us a novella to finish this series. There were so many ways to add more drama and road blocks for Damien and Nikki. There were only little bits of info given about Nikki's mom and the issues that she caused all through her pageant years and the death of her sister. Why didn't the author go more in depth and finish this story completely. DISSAPOINTING ENDING!!!

No one can get close to John Medina, the CIA's legendary Black Ops specialist who works in the shadows of the government's deadliest missions. And no one knows the dangers better than Niema Burdock. A sharp, steely-nerved communications expert, Niema and her husband, Dallas, worked side by side with Medina on an explosive mission that went tragically wrong. Now Niema has withdrawn to a quiet Intelligence position, and a safe - if predictable - existence that has helped her heal her scars from five years ago. But now John Medina needs her....

Though Jack is a bodyguard, Morgan feels anything but safe in his presence. Because slowly and seductively, Jack is bringing her deepest fantasies to the surface. Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.…

And the all of the insecurities of the mother! It seems like a hot news that couldn't possibly get everything straightened out enough that they could possibly get together. Can't wait for more!

For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

JD Robb (Nora Roberts) has created characters in her In Death series that grow through out the series. Eve and Roark now have a big extended family with Roark's real family from Ireland and all of the close friends that Eve and Roark have together. "It's hard work having all these friends." And Eve and her marriage rules truly are inventive and creative from a character that never really had a real family. Susan Ericksen is my favorite narrator!!! I have listened to almost everything that she has read. I was afraid that it would confuse the characters in the books, but she has a wonderful talent and can create all those characters!!! I really loved this Thanksgiving book. I will listen to this book probably 2 or 3 more times before the next In Death book comes out!! Hurry up already!!!!

Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....

It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

I loved the 1st book in this series. The second book puts two characters together that I never would have imagined. And to see the love she had for her brother, to learn what she had gone through and the reasons why she has acted the way she has. And then her friends learning about her pay and her father showing up. Finally she has found someone whom she can love, learn to accept help from her friends, and find a way to forgive her mother after she finds out why she is the way she is. Really enjoyed the narrator. Love the advent. Makes you feel like your in London.

Sculptor Clare Kimball has captured the attention of the New York art world. But big-city success cannot burn away the half-remembered nightmares that have plagued Clare since childhood. These phantoms of the past have drawn her home to Emmitsboro, Maryland, to the small town where she grew up and where her father died in circumstances never really explained.

There are so many twists that you can't see coming that really surprise and sometimes startle and even scare you a bit. Nora brings out another winner with this book.

One choice can transform you - or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves - and herself - while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

I loved the first book. But the second book was even better. It is amazing to see how they use our modern medical devices in the future just to see how progressive their scientist are. What Beatrice had to go through in this book because she is divergent is amazing. That a girl of 16 would give her group or "sanction" help by giving herself up to be studied by their scientist to figure out why she fits into 3 sanctions. And how Four tries to help her and loves her but treats her with respect and teaches her about the different sanctions and their societies. Great story! Very engaging and riviting . Great writing. Enjoyed every page!

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Veronica Roth is a very engaging writer. She writes about a future Chicago and creates a story that you can see really happening! I love the characters. I love the fighting and friendships and love that develops. I love how "Trice" develops from a teenager trying to find herself and decide who she is and where she fits in. In our world she would be considered a genius. In their world she's divergent but she fits in in 2 other sanctions. So she chose the one where she would feel the most free...free to be herself and to try things she would never have been allowed to do in her parents sanction. And I fell in love with Four! What a champion and gentleman and fighter! Great book. I just finished the 2nd book. Can't wait for the 3rd and final book. But will look forward to anything she writes from now on. She paints with words so you can see her story!
