"Best book ever written."
This is by far my favorite book of all time. I'm huge into fantasy and have delved into just about every famous fantasy series that I've heard of. None compare. The writing, the story, the characters, the pace, the originality, all are executed perfectly. People who give this book bad reviews are probably failures who hate that Patrick writes so well and their half finished books are garbage; or they just like ridiculing things they know are amazing so they feel superior to them. Get this book. It's amazing and only get's better the more times you read it. This series will eventually trump every other fantasy series written so far. Tolken was great but it takes more than a good plot to turn a story and Patrick understands what it takes to write an amazing story better than anyone else I have ever read.
Nick Podehl is terrible. He ruins this book with his third grade interpretations of the characters. He mispronounces the most obvious names and words. Like Elodin, it should be Elo-din. No, This idiot says E-low-din, which sounds retarded. He even mispronounces Kvothe's name and pronounces the v, even though it tells you in the book it's pronounced Quothe. Nick podle is horrible and should find a different job. There's another audio book version of this book out there which is a billion times better. The narrator is Fred Major. I wish Audible would sell that one instead of this idiots garbage performance.
