As an audio book I loved it. I pretty much ended up purchasing it because of the narrator. It is a really good listen, and she deserves a lot of the credit. However, because of the super-predictable plot-twist I just wasn't able to enjoy it. I really liked all the characters, and the way they interacted with each other. They were all really good at the bottom, they just sometimes didn't act like it because they were hurt or whatever. Believable.

It was just waaay to predictable. As I said, I just couldn't really enjoy it. The author gives us too many clues too soon. All through the book i kept thinking "this can't be the twist, it can't". Not because it's bad or anything, it was just too obvious. I was thinking about the plot twist throughout, not the story. I think that's what ruined the experience for me. Or, not ruined it, that sounds awful. It's a really sweet story - I just wasn't able to really enjoy it.

Yes. I think she's my favorite. She makes the characters stand out from each other, but doesn't overdo the voices. She takes the book up a notch. This was another great one!

Flat-Out Love across the distance - or in your face?

Most people seem to really love this book. Maybe you won't pick up on the twist as soon as I did. I recently read something else with a similar twist, so it might have been at the front of my mind. If you like a sweet YA romance with likable characters, you should still pick it up. Julia Whelan does an awesome job. If you haven't, check out her other reads as well,especially The Witness by Nora Roberts.

I really loved this book - the characters were great! Dani was such a refreshing heroine. When I first realized she was 14 I was like "this can't be good", but she was awesome. She just loves life, and she made me happy listening to her. There's this moment where she thinks she is going to freeze to death, so she cracks the biggest smile/laugh just so her body will be frozen in a happy state. I mean, you have to love someone like that!

In addition to being super positive she also kicks some serious ass. And she is super tough. I can't wait for the rest of the series! Natalie Ross does a great job with her as well.
I also think I might have a small book-crush on Ryodan. YUM. Phil Gigante gives him an awesome voice.

I never read the Fever-series, and I think I might have had a slight disadvantage because of it. The world isn't explained in enough detail, so I'm still sort of confused about the sidhe-seers, the Sinsar Dubh, the Unseelie and the story concerning Cruce. While I'm waiting for Burned I think I'll read Fever. Still, the plot is good, and it's all entertaining. It's suspense and SO funny. I laughed so hard at some of the dialog between Dani and the other characters (mostly Ryodan), as well as Danis inner monologue. I really recommend you read this!

I liked being inside Atticus' head - his thoughts were entertaining! I also loved the conversation that passed between Atticus and his dog. Seriously - SO funny! Oberon is definitely my favorite character! I can't really pinpoint anything I didn't like. A very good book!

I don't know. The lack of romance kind of differs from almost everything I normally read (romance-junkie, guilty as charged). I really didn't mind it though - it was sort of refreshing to not have that inner monologue "loves me, loves me not" going.

Oberon, the Irish wolfhound. He is a proper DOG, not a human trapped in a dogs body. He loves sausages and French poodles. He cares about the things I think a dog would really care about - he's just a bit smarter than your average pet. And so funny! He made me laugh out loud a lot! Luke Daniels did a great job with him as well as all the other characters.

I would have, if I had the time. I finished it in about three days.

A great start to a promising series! After I post this I'll add book number two (Hexed) to my library. I guess it's going to be a late night!

Probably not, but I'm not in the habit of re-reading(listening) books, unless its extra special. This was good, don't get me wrong, but its not on my top 10 list.

Nothing comes to mind. Not because it's very unique, but because it isn't my preferred genre. Its a thriller, set to the future.

I liked her accents. Thee were times when I felt she was to aggressive in her reading, but she got Eves strong will well across. She is one of the better voices I've heard, and I think she fit the bill. She made it better, and I don't think I would have enjoyed the book as much if I just read it myself.

No. Although near the end it was impossible to put down!

I really did enjoy the book. It was entertaining, and something different to what I normally read. I just ordered In Death book 2 - it's a series I want to continue, at least for a while.
