    "waste of time"
    Overall

I didn't get why people liked this book! It repeated the same idea through the whole book. It was very simplistic. It was ridiculous in some of the examples. The wording was not natural in many examples. I disliked the woman's voice in the examples. The author called the people in her examples 'sweetheart', which I found very strange! It was a waste of my time, and that is true!!

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

    Overall

Approximately 35 hours and wished it was longer! The story and characters captivated me. I agree with some that the narrator did not do women and kids well though. I actually liked the way the story completed alot. I'm going to find another King epic to do next!

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

    Overall

I loved this book! I was sad when it was done, I wanted it to continue! It did get a little slow at times, but I loved the story and it entertained me on my long commute to and from work! I will try the "Twilight" series next!

I found this fun, light entertainment. Good narration. Better and a little more substance than most 'chick-lit' books I've read.
