    The Characters were pathetic and annoying. Such a disapointment.


    Would you ever listen to anything by Rachel Gibson again?

    Yes, I would listen to Rachel Gibson again because this is her first book I haven't liked. I am shocked by how horrible this book is.


    You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    no redeeming qualities. The characters started off obnoxious and ended the same way.

    save your money and wait for Rachel's next book. I'm sure it will be better than this one.

    Nikki St. James knows kidnapping Alex Hart and whisking him off to secluded Lake Eden is probably a little extreme, but her fiance barely seems to notice her existence any more, and she needs Alex to help her get his attention. Besides, she's probably doing the college professor a favor he's so uptight a little R & R at a lakeside cabin is just what he needs. Not that she cares what he needs, or has noticed how handsome he is....

    What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    This could have been a better story if the heroine wasn't so obnoxious and naive. The male lead came off as weak and a push over and saw the female lead's obnoxious behavior as cute...it was not cute.

    How could the performance have been better?

    I like a narrator who can make a man sound and act like a man - both the man and the woman in this book came off as feminine and a bit on the numb side.

    I kept listening thinking it might at least have a good ending...I was dissapointed.

    I prefer authors like Susan E. Phillips, Rachel Gibson, Lori Foster, and Susan Andersen - all authors who portray strong women and strong men. The absolute best narrator I have ever had the pleasure to listen to was Anna Fields, who sadly passed away...but she was AMAZING.
